Social Justice and Human Rights in the Socio-Cultural Space of Russia

The article considers, in particular, such political values as social justice and human rights, their place in the Russian socio-cultural space. The article presents the sociological data of the monitoring study conducted by the Center for the Sociology of Religion and Socio-Cultural Processes of the ISPI of the Russian Academy of Sciences in recent years in Moscow and some regions.

Interest of Moscow Youth in Non-Traditional Religions, Eastern Religions and Esoteric Teachings

This article presents the results of a study of the level of confidence of the population of the NCFD in the demonstration of their religious feelings by officials and their interaction with religious institutions. It also examines the degree of public confidence in informal leaders in their desire to demonstrate their commitment to religion with the help of ethno-religious instruments of influence on the North Caucasian society. The results of the analysis show that the level of trust of the residents of the North Caucasus Federal District to such manifestations by officials and informal leaders is low. The vast majority of the popu- 90 lation does not believe in the sincerity of these manifestations. At the same time, the respondents showed more unanimity in the negative answers than in the positive ones. There was no correlation between the respondents ' religious affiliation and their level of trust in politicians and informal leaders. In their assessments, respondents chose less categorical answers ("rather, I agree", "rather, I disagree"). Experts also more often said that the population of their republics is suspicious of the demonstrative display of religiosity by officials, and of the attempts of leaders of informal religious organizations to influence the population by using an ethno-religious tool.

This material analyzes the empirical indicators of sociological research in the Moscow metropolis, conducted in 2018 and 2020. The research data characterize the interest of young people in alternative religions and esoteric teachings, the involvement of the practices of these views in the everyday life of young people.

Social and Psychological Climate and Party Political Preferences in the Nizhny Novgorod Region for the First Half of 2020: Peace and Justice

The article summarizes the results of a sociological study of a multicolored palette of perceptions in the narrow sense of the world’s feelings of the population as influences of ideas expectations and hopes for the life of the regional community, considered through the prism of social changes A conclusion is drawn about the socio-psychological climate (optimism ) ideas about justice party and political preferences of society in Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region in the first half of 2020. The materials continue the series of studies 2015 – 2016 and are based on data from the Privolzhsky branch of the FCTIS RAS and the Institute of Social Management Problems Leniya of Nizhny Novgorod.

The Role of Religion and Religious Institutions in Modern Russian Society (in the estimates of the population of the metropolis)

The sociological monitoring conducted in the Moscow megalopolis (1996-2020) examines the indicators that characterize the involvement of the population in religious and secularization processes. The article also analyzes the role of religious teachings and religious organizations of modern Russian society in the assessments of Muscovites.
