Aim: In this study, it was aimed to examine the communication levels of female volleyball players according to their leisure time activities. In addition, the communication levels of the participants according to their age, education, years of doing sports and the number of siblings were also examined. Method: Our sample group consists of 147 female volleyball players who played volleyball in volleyball clubs in Kütahya and Tekirdağ provinces in 2019. Descriptive research method was used in the research. Data were collected from volunteer participants by using the “Communication Skills Assessment Scale” (CIDI) developed by Korkut (1996). The scale has a single sub-dimension and consists of 25 items and the Cronbach Alpha value was found to be .86. By directing distribution normality to parametric tests, multiple frequency analysis, one-way variance and correlation analyzes were applied. Results: While there is no significant difference between age, education, number of siblings and communication skills of female volleyball players, there is a significant difference according to the year of doing sports and leisure time activities. The communication level of female volleyball players who have been playing sports for 4-9 years is higher than those who have been doing sports for 10 years or more. In addition, those who read books in their free time got the highest score, and those who went to the movies got the lowest score. In the correlation analysis, there is a weak positive relationship between the communication levels of volleyball players with reading books, and a weak negative relationship with the scores of going to the movies. Conclusion: According to the data results of 147 female volleyball players participating in the study, the communication skill scores of female volleyball players reading books in leisure activities were higher than the others.

Aim: This research is a cross sectional study which is designed to examine the factors that effect on the consumers’ purchasing behaviors of global sportswear brands. Method: By applying the simple random sampling method, the sample size was determined as (n) = 550 when the number of people in the population (N)=1500 (total number of students in the Faculty of Sports Sciences). The Socio-Demographic Characteristics Form and the 5-point Likert-type Consumer Purchasing Behavior Scale consisting of 7 sub-dimensions developed by Sproles and Kendall (1986) and adapted into Turkish by Bikari (2013) were applied to 550 students who made up the study group by the researcher. Results: The students prefer the most popular global brands which have the largest share in the market. The results also showed that the age, class and income do not affect the preferences. It has been found that there is a positive relationship between brand loyalty, purchasing preferences, perfectionism, fashion orientation, shopping attitude, brand awareness and quality orientation and purchasing styles. It has also found that according to the gender variable there is meaningful difference about the purchasing preferences, fashion orientation and brand awareness dimensions but there is not a meaningful difference for brand loyalty, perfectionism, attitude towards shopping and quality orientation. Conclusion: According to the results, It has been determined that purchasing styles do not differ according to sports brand preferences, there is a positive relationship between brand loyalty, purchasing preferences, perfectionism, fashion oriented, shopping attitude, brand awareness and quality orientation and purchasing styles.

Aim: The aim of our study is to reveal the effect of training overload on athletes. Overtraining syndrome (overtraining) is a very difficult, systemic and complex condition to diagnose. This syndrome occurs with decrease in performance, fatigue, deterioration in sleep patterns, and changes in social behavior when the training load increases unconsciously. Many factors affect the rate and recovery time of overtraining syndrome. These factors are the result of continuous loading, load differential, load tolerance and recovery. The coach needs to plan both the training and the recovery process well. Because optimal performance depends on maintaining the delicate balance between training and recovery. Method: Our study is a compilation obtained to provide information from studies on overtraining syndrome. Findings: In the literature, the symptoms of overtraining are examined under 3 headings as sympathetic, parasympathetic and other symptoms. Conclusion: In order to prevent overtraining syndrome, it is necessary to avoid possible effects that harm team performance. Trainers can facilitate this by changing the training period with the recovery period. In addition, they can help their athletes get rid of this syndrome by using techniques such as mild aerobic activities, massage, hot and cold baths, diet, adequate sleep and psychological relaxation. Recommendation: Nutrition, sleep and rest patterns, recovery efforts (regeneration), emotional support, oxygen administration, medication, etc. are the factors that can treat overtraining syndrome.

Aim: Although the studies on temperament date back to ancient times, the interest in the subject of temperament has been increasing day by day. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the current situation by analyzing the postgraduate theses on child and temperament in Turkey in terms of content. Method: For this purpose, using the keywords "child" and "temperament", 102 graduate studies registered to YÖK thesis center between 1989-2021 were reached. 70 postgraduate theses that met the inclusion criteria were included in this study, and 32 postgraduate theses that did not meet the inclusion criteria were excluded from the study. Theses are themed descriptive scanning model. Findings: When the findings obtained from the study are examined, the highest values reached are as follows: 71.43% of the studies are master studies. The highest number of studies were conducted between 2016-2021 with 65.71% and 64.29% were written in Turkish. Thesis studies were carried out under the umbrella of the psychology department with the highest rate of 44.29%. The most studied was with kindergarten children with 68.57% and the quantitative method was used with 85.71%. Simple/random sampling technique was used with a maximum of 52.86%. In terms of relationality or the subject studied, parenting styles/attitudes/characteristics were studied with the highest rate of 21.26%. Considering the study recommendations on temperament, it was recommended to work with a larger sample group with a maximum of 14.46%.
