VEGETATION FEATURES OF TUNDRINSKY KEDROVY BOR AND ADJACENT SITES (BY MATERIALS FROM THE «TSARSKY» PROFILE, UROCHISHCHE TUNDRINSKY MATERIK, SREDNEOBSKAYA LOWLAND)

The vegetation map of the Tundrinsky kedrovy bor for a perspective object as a nature reserve are presented. The conducted analysis of territory along the «Tsarsky» profile reflected a compact allocation of useful near-village forests with siberian pine (Pinus sibirica), allowing them using as an integral territorial unit for a perspective protected area.

HERITAGE, ECOSYSTEM SERVICES AND OTHER ARGUMENTS TO NATURE RESERVES ADVOCACY

Russian zapovedniks are one of the most effective forms of nature conservation. The arguments in defense of the absolute inviolability of the zapovedniks are: their invaluable role in preserving the natural heritage; the ability to monitor the climate changes in various landscapes; a wide range of regulating and supporting ecosystem services.

ECONOMIC USE OF WATER OBJECTS IN THE TERRITORY OF THE PAVLODAR REGION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

This article systematizes data on water bodies of the Pavlodar region of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the geography of their location. The features of the economic use of water bodies in ten districts and two urban districts of the study area are revealed.

FEATURES OF THE THERMAL REGIME AND WATER SUPPLY FOR STEPPE BURNED AREA BASED ON LANDSAT SATELLITE IMAGES

Based on the analysis of Landsat satellite image data, microclimatic features of steppe burned area were identified, consisting in an increased thermal background, reduced depth and duration of snow cover. The duration of recovery processes is estimated taking into account landscape heterogeneity and regularities in the daily and seasonal dynamics of the thermal regime due to uneven insolation are revealed.

PROPERTIES AND ELEMENT COMPOSITION OF SOILS OF THE DENDROLOGICAL TERRITORY OF THE SIBERIAN BOTANICAL GARDEN

The properties, content and profile distribution of macroelements in the soils of the dendrological territory of the Siberian Botanical Garden were studied. The nature of the distribution of chemical elements in soil profiles is revealed depending on the intensity of sod, podzolic and glue soil formation processes.

ASSESSMENT OF RISKS RELATED TO CONTAMINATION OF SOIL AND SNOW COVER ON THE TERRITORY OF YOSHKAR-OLA

The text presents the results of field, laboratory work and office research on the risks posed by soils and dust aerosols accumulated in the snow cover of the city of Yoshkar-Ola.

CHANGES IN THE STRUCTURE AND ABOVEGROUND BIOMASS OF STANDS IN THE TRANSITION ZONE BETWEEN THE FOREST AND MOUNTAIN STEPPES IN THE KRAKA MASSIF, SOUTH URALS

The structure of tree stands in the ecotone between the forest and extrazonal steppes on southern slope the South Kraka mountain range (eastern macro slope of the South Urals) was investigated. On the basis of taxation data and the identified close relationships between the biomass of trees and the diameters of their trunks, aboveground biomass of stands was calculated. It has been shown that the deterioration of microclimatic and soil conditions for the growth and regeneration of trees in the transition zone between the forest and mountain steppes leads to a significant change in taxation characteristics and aboveground biomass of tree stands.

THE CONTENT JF IRON AND MANGANESE IN THE AQUIFER OF THE QUATERNARY SEDIMENTS OF THE SOUTH MINUSINSK BASIN

The results of research for 2014–2019 for 16 observation wells – indicators of total hardness, iron and manganese content-were processed. On the example of the site located in the area of Ust-Abakan and Chernogorsk, the analysis of factors that determine the increased concentrations of manganese and iron was carried out.

THE SOME RESULTS OF THE RESEARCH OF THE NATURE MONUMENT «SUKHORECHENSKIYE CUPS» IN THE VICINITY OF TOMSK CITY

Some results of the study of lime caps in the Ushayka river basin near the village of Sukhorechye are presented. The morphometric features of travertine springs are considered. The need for special protection of the Sukhorechenskiye caps is determined.

ABIOTIC FACTORS FOR FORMING LANDSCAPE DIVERSITY

Throughout geological history, there is a change in zonal and azonal factors in the formation of landscape diversity. The leading factors in the formation of landscape diversity are processes external to the biosphere. These are the activity of the Sun and endogenous geological processes.
