In the common mentality, the conjugal conflict is seen as being similar to scandal, but the scientific literature describes it as the moment that highlights the differences between partners. Therefore, the conflict can invite mediation or, on the contrary, scandal. Fear of the other's reactions, the sustained challenges that define a conflict framework make some partners create strategies to avoid or postpone discussions on marital issues. For a certain category of couples, one of the strategies used to escalate the conflict is temporary separation. The study aims to analyze what the general causes that stimulate temporary separation are and, of course, what the consequences that the decision of temporary separation had on the conjugal couple.

We are constantly evolving, society is modernizing and most are beginning to accept change, but nevertheless we still strongly have a model to relate to the two genders (male and female) well inoculated within our culture and way of thinking. The volume ”Bărbatul şi femeia : imaginea unei polemici cu privire la echitatea de gen” [The man and the woman. The image of a controversy regarding gender equity], published by Lumen Publishing House from Iași, Romania, in 2017, manages, under the guidance of professor Iulian Apostu and Cristina Georgiana Petrescu, to analyze a lot of subjects that are still very topical and outline both genres socially, psychologically and scientifically. The volume contains an introduction, four chapters, conclusions, a references list and an appendix. The themes of this book are focused on both genres and how they coexist or come into conflict. The introduction reveals the intention and motivation of the study in broad terms, such as the desire to observe how men relate to women's emancipation.

We are in the 21st century, a century (Lipovetsky, 1996) a century that marks new directions in terms of research, information transfer, economic exchanges, and so on. The new fields that have emerged, for example the neuroscience, the medical fields, and so forthare at the intersection of several disciplines, which leads us to believe that they are not only interdisciplinary fields, but also trans-disciplinary fields. Today we are faced with new discoveries that lead us to ask, as we did in the past, what is the purpose of life and man on earth: the immortality or the enlightenment?

Glocalization has continuously gained popularity over the past 20 years. The rise of nationalism and other trends in political radicalization have strengthen the need for retailers to find local solutions to their globally distributed products. In some cases, the adaptation has happened smoothly and naturally, in other situations it was imposed by the local judicial context. The paper focuses on European supermarket chains, like Kaufland, Lidl or Penny, giving special attention to their glocalization strategies used in Romania. The research has revealed that the retailers have become quite versatile and that they are currently developing products tailored to satisfy Romanians’ expectations regarding traditional tastes, recipes, and design.

The particular extent of the phenomenon of crime in modern society, the increasingly frequent violations of values that interest the international community as a whole or target the interests of a large number of states, as well as the emergence of organised crime which transcends national borders through criminal networks operating in the territory of several states, are the basis for the establishment and development of international criminal law as an expression of the coordination of efforts to ban and repress antisocial acts detrimental to the legality and progress of the entire contemporary human society. Attempts to define international criminal law have been made over the years, but it should be pointed out that international criminal law is a relatively new branch of law and is still in the process of being codified, i.e. through international agreements in the form of conventions or treaties establishing general rules with binding legal force. Its content is developing day by day, and is becoming more and more deeply embedded in the legal consciousness of nations, which is only to be expected if we consider the dynamics of international society in recent times. Its importance is constantly growing as the development of military technology, the use of chemical and bacteriological weapons and the threat of the use of atomic weapons require the legal protection of international security and peace.
