Koneksi jaringan komputer merupakan suatu hal yang mendasar dalam suatu jaringan karena bila koneksi bermasalah, maka semua jenis aplikasi yang dijalankan melalui jaringan komputer tidak dapat digunakan. Cisco Packet Tracer dapat digunakan untuk simulasi yang mencerminkan gambaran dari koneksi jaringan komputer pada sistem jaringan yang digunakan. Paper ini merancang dua buah perancangan, yakni perancangan dengan topologi mesh dan ring dari empat buah gedung dengan menggunakan software Cisco Packet Tracer dan menghubungkan jaringan antar gedung tersebut dengan perangkat berupa router, serta membandingkan hasil kinerja dari kedua perancangan tersebut. Parameter yang menjadi acuan dalam membandingkan kinerjanya adalah berupa delay, packet loss dan throughput. Dari analisis kinerja jaringan kedua perancangan tersebut untuk Perancangan I dari A ke B, A ke C dan A ke D didapat delay berturut-turut sebesar 114 ms, 110 ms dan 113 ms serta throughput sebesar 0,917 kbps, 1,258 kbps dan 1,638 kbps. Sedangkan untuk perancangan II dari A ke B, A ke C dan A ke D didapat delay berturut-turut sebesar 116 ms, 112 ms dan 140 ms serta throughput sebesar 1,252 kbps, 0,962 kbps dan 0,792 kbps. Sementara packet loss pada kedua perancangan tersebut adalah sama yaitu sebesar 2,5% .

Due to the problem of network structure, security, redundant path in traditional network, this can be solved by Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) technology. As the network laboratory in colleges and universities is not perfect because of high cost, a virtual simulation tools named Packet Tracer has been introduced to computer network experimental curriculum, this paper put forwards the detail design scheme by the example of VLAN with three switches, and provides the experiment and theoretical analysis and simulation verification .The practice has proved this method not only deepens students comprehension of network, but also cultivates the students' actual comprehensive ability.

Routing is a design way to pass the data packet. User is assigns the path in a routing configuration. A significant role played by the router for providing the dynamic routing in the network. Structure and Configuration are different for each routing protocols. Next generation internet protocol IPv6 which provides large address space, simple header format. It is mainly effective and efficient routing. It is also ensure good quality of service and also provide security. Routing protocol (OSPFv3) in IPv6 network has been studied and implemented using ‘cisco packet tracer’. ‘Ping’ the ping command is used to check the results. The small virtual network created in Cisco platform .It is also used to test the OSPFv3 protocol in the IPv6 network. This paper also contains step by step configuration and explanation in assigning of IPv6 address in routers and end devices. The receiving and sending the packet of data in a network is the responsibility of the internet protocol layer. It also contains the data analysis of packet forwarding through IPv6 on OSPFv3 in simulation mode of cisco packet virtual environment to make the decision eventually secure and faster protocol in IPv6 environment.

ABSTRAKOSPF (Open Shortest Path First) adalah suatu routing protokol bersifat terbuka dan didukung oleh berbagai perangkat network. IPv4 telah mencapai batas maksimum dalam jumlah alamat sehingga IPv6 merupakan solusi dalam hal tersebut. Seperti IPv4, IPv6 juga sudah mulai diimplementasikan untuk routing protokol OSPF, oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini akan dirancang suatu routing protokol OSPF IPv6 dan sebagai bahan perbandingan akan dibandingkan dengan OSPF IPv4. Software Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 digunakan untuk mensimulasikan perancangan jaringan yang dibuat. Pada penelitian ini akan dibandingkan 2 buah jaringan berbasis routing protokol OSPF, yaitu OSPF untuk IPv4 dan IPv6. Skenario pertama dilakukan 100 kali dalam 5 kasus untuk mengetahui nilai delay OSPF IPv4 dan OSPF IPv6. Skenario kedua dilakukan pemutusan link dilakukan sebanyak 30 kali, hal yang dilihat dari pengujian ini adalah hasil trace route dari cost yang ada. Skenario ketiga dilakukan dengan mengamati waktu konvergensi dari OSPF IPv4 dan IPv6. Secara keseluruhan nilai delay OSPF IPv6 lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan OSPF IPv4 sebesar 3-6%, Trace route dan nilai cost pada OSPF IPv6 dan OSPF IPv4 sama tetapi nilai delay OSPF IPv6 lebih kecil sebesar 3-6% dan waktu konvergensi OSPF IPv4 bernilai sama dengan OSPF IPv6 yaitu 10 detik.Kata kunci: OSPF, IPv4, Ipv6, delay, konvergensiABSTRACTOSPF (Open Shortest Path First) is a routing protocol that opened and supported by a wide range of network devices. IPv4 has reached the maximum limit on the number of addresses that IPv6 are a solution in this case. Same as IPv4, IPv6 also has begun to be implemented for the OSPF routing protocol, therefore this study wiould design an IPv6 OSPF routing protocol and as a comparison will be compared to IPv4 OSPF. Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 software was used to simulate the made network design. This research would compare two pieces of network-based routing protocol OSPF, OSPF for IPv4 and IPv6. The first scenario was done 100 times in of 5 cases to determine the value of delay OSPF OSPF IPv4 and IPv6. The second scenario was carried out link terminations 30 times, it was seen from the tests was the result of trace route from the existing cost. The third scenario was done by observed at the convergence time of OSPF IPv4 and IPv6. The overall delay value OSPF IPv6 better than IPv4 OSPF by 3-6%, the trace route and the OSPF cost value of IPv6 and IPv4 OSPF were same but delay OSPF IPv6 was better 3-6% and convergence time was the same as IPv4 OSPF OSPF IPv6 as 10 seconds.Keywords: OSPF, IPv4, IPv6, delay, convergence

LAN network design must also consider the cost budget so that the use of tools can be maximized and not cause losses. If the connection is problematic, then all types of applications that run through a computer network cannot be used. The positive value of the internet is that the information generated can facilitate everyday human work. One of the negative impacts caused by the internet is cyber crime. As the Indonesian Army who is conducting studies at the Politeknik Angkatan Darat, it is not only required to be professional and proficient in physical warfare strategies. But it also has to be sophisticated and not technologically illiterate in dealing with all threats in cyberspace, including cyber crime. One of the basic sciences for dealing with cyber crime is computer networks by implementing the concept of network topology. Network topology simulation training using packet tracer software in the context of community service activities has the aim of providing technological concepts about the use of packet tracers along with network topology simulations. This training begins with an introduction to network topology which discusses implementation in military life and its strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, the implementation of this knowledge into a packet tracer and simulating the network topology. From the participants consisting of telkommil, it is hoped that all of them can take part in the training in order to understand how to design a good computer network using packet tracer software.
