LABURPENA: Gaur egun Bulego Judizial Berriaren (BJB) ezarpenaren prozesua abian da Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoko barruti judizialetan. «Bulego Judizial Berria»-tzat ezagutzen den Justizia Administrazioaren eraldaketa sakona dakarrenez, berrantolaketa hau gradualki egingo da Euskadin. Testu honen helburua da aurkeztea Bulego Judizial Berria zer den eta zer suposatzen duen, nola antolatu eta gauzatu den Euskadin Bulego Judizial Berriaren ezarpena horretarako propio Eusko Jaurlaritzak onartu zuen planaren eremuan, aurreikusita duen kalitate-sistema, lehen Bulegoen ezarpenaren ondorioak zeintzuk izan diren eta prozesu osoaren erronkak. ABSTRACT: Nowadays the implementation process of the Judicial Office in the Judicial Districts of the Basque Country is taking place. This new «Judicial Office» brings about a deep and thorough reform in the Administration of Justice and its functioning. Therefore this reorganisation process will be implemented gradually. This article aims to discuss the meaning and the implications of the New Judicial Office, to describe how the implementation of the New Judicial Office in the Basque Country has been organized and applied within the framework of the Implementation Plan adopted by the Basque Government, including the qualitysystem for the Judicial Office, and finally to draw the lessons learned from the process of implementation as it has been taking place within the first Judicial Offices. The challenges of the whole process are thus brought to the fore.

In this case study, we reflect on our journey through a major revision of our streaming video reserve guidelines, informed by an environmental scan of comparable library services and current copyright best practices. Once the guidelines were revised, we developed an implementation plan for communicating changes and developing training materials to both instructors and internal library staff. We share our navigation strategies, obstacles faced, lessons learned, and ongoing challenges. Finally, we map out some of our future directions for improving and streamlining our services.

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) relate to a group of toxicants, which is separated due to an extremely hazardous impact on human health and is regulated by a special international agreement — the Stockholm Convention on POPs. Each Party of the Convention should develop and consistently renew the National Implementation Plan to implement requirements under this Convention. Ukraine developed the National Implementation Plan in 2007, and the experts started works on its renewal in 2020. The article contains results of expert analysis of changes in volumes and forms of accumulation of waste, consisting of containing or contaminated with POPs, in particular, unusable and prohibited plant protection chemicals (PPC). There are outcomes of expert analysis of changes in use of electrical equipment that contained synthetic dielectric liquids based on polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Based on analysis, activities are proposed to the National Implementation Plan for development of effective infrastructure for thermal destruction of POP-containing waste. In addition to storage sites of POPs-containing waste, so-called “nintentional production” is an essential source of POPs entering environment. For categories of sources that under the Stockholm Convention can potentially polluted environment with POPs volumes of annual emission into the air, water, and soil for six basic pollutants have been calculated. Modern extensive monitoring system for POPs should be established to clear up a real state with environmental pollution by POPs in the country. Results of such monitoring together with strong regulatory support may motivate enterprises to an introduction of “best available techniques”. Bibl. 7, Tab. 3.

The public health nurses’ scope of practice explicitly includes child protection within their role, which places them in a prime position to identify child protection concerns. This role compliments that of other professions and voluntary agenices who work with children. Public health nurses are in a privileged position as they form a relationship with the child’s parent(s)/guardian(s) and are able to see the child in its own environment, which many professionals cannot. Child protection in Ireland, while influenced by other countries, has progressed through a distinct pathway that streamlined protocols and procedures. However, despite the above serious failures have occurred in the Irish system, and inquiries over the past 20 years persistently present similar contributing factors, namely, the lack of standardized and comprehensive service responses. Moreover, poor practice is compounded by the lack of recognition of the various interactional processes taking place within and between the different agencies of child protection, leading to psychological barriers in communication. This article will explore the lessons learned for public health nurses practice in safeguarding children in the Republic of Ireland.

AbstractThe damaged and sunken ships of Pearl Harbor contained information on the response of ships and their damage control teams to modern weapons. As they were raised to be repaired, the physical evidence of damaged areas was carefully recorded. The Navy’s ship design organization, the Bureau of Ships (Buships), combined the physical evidence with crew action reports to determine what worked and what did not. Buships published the results in almost 70 War Damage Reports, which were illustrated with photographs and newly prepared extent-of-damage drawings. This paper is a high-level introduction to that massive body of work. The customers of the reports were the damage control schools, the operational fleet (needing to ruthlessly remove flammable materials), the naval repair yards (installing ship alterations to overcome deficiencies), and the designers of new construction warships. The report series was continued covering ships damaged or lost in the Pacific battles. Modern warship features that are now thought of as “good practice,” such as ring fire mains with one line high and the other low on the opposite side of the ship, are a result of “lessons learned” from the war damage surveys. The paper compares the 1938 design Iowa class battleships and the war design Des Moines class heavy cruisers, which incorporated the lessons learned. The differences in compartmentation and damage control fittings of the two classes are described.
