This service activity is an activity in the form of training on English Conversation and Introduction to Information Technology for Youth in RT 02 RW 09, Bengkong Sadai Batam which is held at the Gedung Pertemuan RW09 Bengkong.The training held is a multi-disciplinary training or combines several study programs, especially English and Computer Study Programs. The training materials have been prepared in such a way that they are able to at least provide some solutions to the problems of the younger generation that are happening in the current millennial era. These problems include, among other things, teenagers in these neighborhoods do not master English and lack information technology. This training is carried out starting in November 2021 and ending in December 2021 with as many as 5 meetings held regularly. From this training, it is hoped that the training participants will get refreshed knowledge about the application of English and Introduction to Information Technology

With the current outbreak of the corona virus, all sectors must start to improve so that they can survive during a pandemic, including the education sector. The teaching and learning process carried out during a pandemic situation like this is carried out using an online system and distance learning. Teachers must be able to provide facilities so that students can absorb the material optimally. Another problem that arises is that not all teachers are able to implement the distance learning system and also using the applications or technologies that support distance learning system. To solve this problem, the school needs to get the training of how to make a distance learning system media and in this case the school cooperates with STMIK STIKOM INDONESIA (STIKI) for the training. The training materials provided are google classroom training, google form and training on making the learning videos. The results of the analysis were obtained from the pretest and posttest questionnaires which were described descriptively. After receiving the training, most of the teachers will switch to use the Google Classroom media instead of WA social media, because 100% of the teachers stated that Google Classroom is very helpful in supporting online learning. In addition, according to the posttest questionnaires, 8.3% of the teachers understand very well about the features contained in Google Classroom, 41.7% understand it well and 50% are understand it quite well, meaning that most of the teachers understand the use of Google Classroom. The training also received a good responses from SDN 2 Kawan School and it will be applied  to support their distance learning system.

Abstract Main conclusion SorghumBase provides a community portal that integrates genetic, genomic, and breeding resources for sorghum germplasm improvement. Abstract Public research and development in agriculture rely on proper data and resource sharing within stakeholder communities. For plant breeders, agronomists, molecular biologists, geneticists, and bioinformaticians, centralizing desirable data into a user-friendly hub for crop systems is essential for successful collaborations and breakthroughs in germplasm development. Here, we present the SorghumBase web portal (, a resource for the sorghum research community. SorghumBase hosts a wide range of sorghum genomic information in a modular framework, built with open-source software, to provide a sustainable platform. This initial release of SorghumBase includes: (1) five sorghum reference genome assemblies in a pan-genome browser; (2) genetic variant information for natural diversity panels and ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS)-induced mutant populations; (3) search interface and integrated views of various data types; (4) links supporting interconnectivity with other repositories including genebank, QTL, and gene expression databases; and (5) a content management system to support access to community news and training materials. SorghumBase offers sorghum investigators improved data collation and access that will facilitate the growth of a robust research community to support genomics-assisted breeding.

Amidst the threat of digital misinformation, we offer a pilot study regarding the efficacy of an online social media literacy campaign aimed at empowering individuals in Indonesia with skills to help them identify misinformation. We found that users who engaged with our online training materials and educational videos were more likely to identify misinformation than those in our control group (total N=1,000). Given the promising results of our preliminary study, we plan to expand efforts in this area, and build upon lessons learned from this pilot study.

The dried-tube specimen (DTS) procedure was used to develop the COVID-19 serology control panel (CSCP). The DTS offers the benefit of shipping materials without a cold chain, allowing for greater access without deterioration of material integrity. Samples in the panel were sourced from COVID-19 convalescent persons from March to May 2020. The immunoglobulin subtypes (total Ig, IgM, and IgG) and their respective reactivity to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 nucleocapsid, spike, and receptor-binding domain antigens of the samples were delineated and compared with the WHO International Standard to elucidate the exact binding antibody units of each CSCP sample and ensure the CSCP provides adequate reactivity for different types of serological test platforms. We distribute the CSCP as a kit with five coded tubes to laboratories around the world to be used to compare test kits for external quality assurance, for harmonizing laboratory testing, and for use as training materials for laboratory workers.

Packaging is the first thing seen in a product and today many companies are focused on developing product packaging designs to compete in the market. The improvements in the type and design of packaging can be done PRIMKOPTI SWAKERTA Semanan to maintain customer loyalty. The purpose of this dedication is to provide knowledge of more environmentally friendly packaging alternatives to support the sustainable development of the tempeh industry and its processing in Semanan. Devotional activities begin with an introductory survey and then continue with training conducted online with the devotional team and tempeh craftsmen. The delivery of several training materials was done in parallel related to quality improvement, some of these materials such as the application of Good Manufacturing Practice, maintenance of production machines and food packaging. The survey results showed that 66.7 % of craftsmen use clear plastic with a simple design and some do not even use labels. The remaining 33.3 % of tempeh craftsmen use a combination of aluminium foil and plastic packaging. Alternative solutions are provided in improving the quality of tempeh products through banana leaf packaging. Banana leaves help the process of fermentation on tempeh and also increase consumer interest in buying because it is preferred. Kraft paper packaging is recommended for use because it can reduce the risk of rancidity on tempeh chips and extend the shelf life. Semanan tempeh makers can use this food packaging alternative to attract back consumers' interest that decreased during the pandemic.

Introduction. The tendency of reducing student empathy requires efforts to improve it through education or training. The purpose of this review is to identify education, learning, or teaching that is used to increase student empathy. Method. The design used a Literature Systematic Review. Articles were conducted in three electronic databases guided by The PRISMA. Articles published in English and from 2019 to 2021. Results. The result obtained 20 articles and will be reviewed. Eighteen articles show an effect or relationship between intervention and empathy. Training materials that can increase student empathy are the concept of empathy, communication, mindfulness, and transcultural nursing education. Education and training using patients/patient simulations to help improve student empathy, namely: expert patients, ECARE Program, polypharmacy effects; clinical Simulation of Inpatients, Lectures in class, Virtual Dementia Tour, living in poverty, and games for team interaction. Another method is through the KSS module, mannequin simulator experience, and peers. Conclusion. Education and training on the concepts of empathy, communication, meditation, and cultural competence using Simulation and immersion methods with patients, being like patients, using mannequins, or interacting with vulnerable groups can increase student empathy. Faculty and lecturers can apply experiential learning methods with Simulation and immersion in learning or training courses. Keywords: empathy, student, nursing, learning, education

Abstract In order for Conservation Agriculture (CA) to reach and impact small-scale farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), CA technologies need to be adapted to suit the diversity of agroecological zones and cultures present on the continent. Training materials for CA promotion need to be similarly customizable to help extension staff and farmers develop their own, context-appropriate solutions from among the many possible CA approaches. From 2015 through 2018, a diverse set of farmer-level training materials for CA and complementary technologies was developed and field-tested by Canadian Foodgrains Bank partners. Together with a participatory, adaptive training methodology, these materials have enhanced the effectiveness of CA promotion, and they have been made available for copyright-free download in English, French, Kiswahili, Portuguese and Amharic (, accessed 6 August 2021). This paper describes the process of developing these materials as well as challenges and constraints to their utilization.

Evaluation of a technical education and training organization can provide positive outputs. This study aims to evaluate the implementation and understanding of the training participants regarding the knowledge of the training materials provided at the Advanced Infection and Prevention Technical Training for Health Workers at the Health Facilities during the COVID-19 Pandemic online, which was held at the Puslatkesda Provinsi DKI Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative description method using the Kirkpatrick Four Levels Evaluation Model, namely through four levels consisting of reaction, learning, behavior, and result. As for what was carried out in the study, it was evaluated at levels 1 and 2. This training was held in October 2020 Batch 1 with 40 participants. Instruments The instrument used is a questionnaire, and the results of the participants' assessment are in the form of pretest and posttestt. The source of data in this study is Puslatkesda data in 2020, namely primary data on the implementation of Advanced PPI Technical Training during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Following are the results of the research data analysis that of the seven evaluation categories at the reaction level to the implementation of the training. The results showed that as many as 18 respondents with a percentage of (45 percent) answered Very Satisfactory, then for reactions to resource persons an average, of 52.5-82.5 percent participants answered satisfactorily and very satisfactory. As for the evaluation of learning or learning, it appears that the average value of participants is 84.3, and there are 100 percent (40) training participants who have complete scores in the posttest stage. With all these descriptions, the Advanced Infection and Prevention Technical Training for Health Workers at Health Facilities during the COVID-19 Pandemic went well and satisfactorily.

This article proposes a model for teaching interpreting for tourism purposes. It shows the aims of the model, interpreting materials, training strategies, training environment and assessment techniques. The model aims to train students to interpret in English with or without prior preparation or knowledge of the topic and without taking or reading form notes. The training model consists of the following exercises: (i) breathing exercises; (ii) memory training exercises; (iii) shadowing exercises; (iv) sentence paraphrasing; (v) summarizing sentences, then whole paragraphs about tourism; (vi) listening to single words, sentences, and a short paragraph about tourism and interpreting them; (vii) listening to familiar and easy tourism topics, then more difficult ones with a variety of tourism sub-topics. In a multimedia language lab, the students may listen to tourism podcasts, watch tourism documentaries or TED Talks and interpret the content from English to Arabic and vice versa. Simulations (role playing) of tourists and interpreters in teams of three or more may be conducted. Students may also visit a local tourist attraction, interpret, or give a commentary on-site. The training program objectives, types of interpreting, interpreting exercises, training materials, teaching and learning strategies and assessment techniques are described in detail.
