This is an edited collection of twenty-three new papers on the Gettier Problem and the issues connected with it. The set of authors includes many of the major figures in contemporary epistemology who have developed some of the well-known responses to the problem, and it also contains some younger epistemologists who bring new perspectives to the issues raised in the literature. Together, they cover the state of the art on virtually every epistemological and methodological aspect of the Gettier Problem. The volume also includes some skeptical voices according to which the Gettier Problem is not deeply problematic or some of the problems it raises are not genuine philosophical problems.

The author’s vision of the methodological aspect of assessing the reliability of medium pressure gas pipelines is presented. Analysis of existing methods for assessing the reliability of gas pipelines with the identification of positive and negative features was carried out, a methodological approach to assessing the reliability of medium pressure gas pipelines by gas flow rate and pressure was developed and tested, and a scale for identifying the results of reliability calculation was developed. The test conducted on the example of a really working gas pipeline with a test for reliability showed its promise.

The article addresses the category of “provocation” as a forensic term that is an interdisciplinary concept in between the legal legal and linguistic concepts of “provocation”. An expert term “speech provocation” has been developed through an expert analysis where the category of “provocation” has been considered from the legal, linguistic, and expert perspectives. As a part of the consideration of the concept in the expert aspect, the relationship between the legal and linguistic categories has been established. The author concluded that as an expert linguistic term in examinations in corruption cases, the term “speech provocation for an offer/payment of a bribe” is used. In this case, the speech provocation is interpreted as a verbal act which incites one of the communicators to commit an unlawful act – to bribe. That is the linguistic contents of the phenomenon legally called “crime provocation". The article also addresses the methodological aspect of the detection of speech provocation.
