The article deals with the concept of investigative work as an integral part of operational investigative activities, in the context of its capabilities and significance in the activities of operational units of internal affairs bodies. The opinions of prominent scientists on the concept of investigative work in the narrow and broad sense of the word are discussed and analyzed, which largely differ in content and volume. In the first case, we are talking about the search for a known identified person, a suspect (accused) of committing a crime, or a person who has gone missing. Search in the broadest sense is considered as a set of measures, the first of which is the identification of the person to be searched, as well as other objects of evidentiary value that are subject to detection. Investigative work, based on the complex use of operational-investigative and criminal-procedural measures, some authors tend to consider as an independent interdisciplinary concept, partially subordinated to two different areas-criminal proceedings and operational-investigative activities. Based on the results of the analysis of various approaches to investigative work, we propose a definition that clarifies various aspects of the work of operational (search) divisions of the internal affairs bodies in this area, carrying out the search and identification of various categories of citizens.

This article describes how the arts may be used as interdisciplinary tools to enhance and deepen the learning experience for students. They may be (a) direct adaptations of the core curriculum, (b) added emphases in instructional approaches, and/or (c) an integration of artistic media into interdisciplinary concept learning. An organizer provides teachers with a way to integrate arts into an existing lesson, higher order questions to guide learners in understanding the artifact selected for consideration, and a reproducible rubric to assess a student’s developing sensitivity to the role of aesthetic experience in learning at a deeper and broader level.

Based on the interdisciplinary concept of One Health, EcoHealth, and Planetary Health, this paper focuses on participatory knowledge-to-action approaches by relating one decade of environmental disasters in Brazil with the action of veterinary rescue teams, aiming to give support to future disaster preparedness. This paper will present the historic actions of teams rescuing animal that are victims of environmental disasters, in addition to addressing the need for contingency plans and response management in these types of events. The main events in Brazilian states where veterinary rescue teams participated were, chronologically, as follows: 2011 flood and landslide (Rio de Janeiro); 2012 flood (Acre, Minas Gerais, and Pará); 2015 dam break (Minas Gerais); 2017 flood (Minas Gerais) and forest fire (Minas Gerais and Goiás); 2019 dam break and evacuation (Minas Gerais) and flood (Bahia); 2020 flood (Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais) and forest fires (Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul). The Brazilian disasters that had a large global repercussion were the ruptures of the ore dams in Marina (2015) and Brumadinho (2019), both in the State of Minas Gerais. The role of veterinarians in these events was recognized by the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine (CFMV) after their performance in Mariana, Minas Gerais (2015), and in 2020, the CFMV approved the National Mass Disaster Contingency Plan Involving Animals. The work of veterinarians in interaction with other professionals in environmental disasters proved to be effective and necessary for the rescue of animals and for planning and giving support to disaster preparedness in the future.

Reducing development disparities between municipalities requires the development of entrepreneurship, which is an organized process of actions. Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary concept that is important for social and economic development. The aim of the article is to assess the entrepreneurship in the aspect of rural communes’ development using a synthetic measure. The assessments were carried out in a system of 484 rural communes of voivodships of eastern Poland. Data from the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office of 2009 and 2018 were used as source material. In 2018, the TOPSIS method for measuring entrepreneurship ranged from 0.07 to 0.63 and the development measure from 0.23 to 0.62. This confirmed the smaller diversity of rural communes in eastern Poland in the aspect of development, and greater in the aspect of entrepreneurship. The synthetic measure of entrepreneurship was correlated with the measure of development.

Resilience is an increasingly present term in contemporary media and scientific discourse. The understanding of this term is achieved by placing it in the immediate linguistic context and by identifying other terms of the lexico-semantic field in which the term resilience falls. In this sense, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, which allow addressing and understanding the complexity of the modern world and the present, could support us in our quest to explain and understand this term with a complex semantics and applicability in several fields of life and science.
