In delay-tolerant networking (DTN), messages are delivered to destination nodes by using opportunistic contacts between contact nodes, even if stable routing paths from source nodes to destination nodes do not exist. In some DTN network environments, such as military networks, nodes movement follows a group movement model, and an efficient DTN routing protocol is required to use the characteristics of group mobility. In this paper, we consider a network environment, where both intra- and intergroup routing are carried out by using DTN protocols. Then, we propose an efficient routing protocol with overload control for group mobility, where delivery predictability for group mobility is defined and proactive overload control is applied. Performance evaluation results show that the proposed protocol had better delivery ratios and overhead ratios than compared protocols, although the delivery latency was increased.

The nonpayment area at urban transit stations in China usually becomes extremely crowded during peak hours because many passengers queue to buy tickets and pass through the fare gates. How to evaluate the performance of these activities is a critical issue for the design and management of the nonpayment area. This study used microscopic simulation models to investigate passenger behavior in the nonpayment area. The study developed a queue choice model, a passenger movement model, and a path navigation model. Some new ideas were involved. First, the study introduced the concepts of dynamic queue length and dynamic distance between the current passenger and alternative queues into the queue choice model. Second, a new factor, called direction of goal, was proposed to navigate a passenger through the dynamic end of a queue or other goals. This factor was used to construct the transition probability function of a cellular automata model. Finally, the proposed models were calibrated and verified on the basis of a field survey and sensitivity analysis. The results show that the proposed models can capture passenger behaviors in the nonpayment area and perform well for queue estimation.

A co-evolutionary algorithm is proposed for the play between a submarine and a helicopter equipped with dipping sonar. First, the theoretical foundation of co-evolution is elaborated. The movement model of helicopter and submarine, the detection model of dipping sonar under certain ocean environment are established. After defining the strategies of helicopter and submarine and fitness evaluation methods, the process of co-evolutionary algorithm is described. The optimal strategy of helicopter after helicopter evolution, and the optimal strategies of both helicopter and submarine after co-evolution are given

Traditionally, the magnetic field is always vertical to the electrical field in a magnetic-electrochemical compound polishing. The magnetic field is set to parallel the electrical field in this paper. The mathematical model of the charged particles movement in a magnetic field is established through the analysis of its movement process when using Coulomb laws and Lorentz force. Through constructing the velocity formulation and loci formulation, the function of the magnetic field is proved. Because of the magnetic field, the concentration polarization of electrochemical reaction can be reduced more and the electrochemical reaction can be accelerated easily than the traditional polishing in which the magnetic field is vertical to the electrical field. Finally, to verify the model, the magnetic-electrochemical compound polishing process has been tested and the results, compared with those obtained from the model, have shown the movement model is reasonable and the analysis to function of magnetic field is correct.

Abstract   Inclusive citizenship is currently being fought for by groups that care about vulnerable groups. In Indonesia the ideals of inclusive citizenship are also fought for persons with disabilities. So far, persons with disabilities have become excluded social groups. The disability movement is intensely voicing inclusive citizenship through the struggle to form regulations that can bring changes to the lives of persons with disabilities, starting from the CRPD Convention, the Disability Persons Act, then local regulation of Disabilities. This paper will use the concept of structuration Giddens and confronting the disability movement in fighting for inclusive citizenship with efforts from the government to capture the issue of inclusive citizenship. The Disability Movement in Yogyakarta Province is a model of the movement that has succeeded in fighting for regional regulations for persons with disabilities. This movement was considered successful when the national movement struggled for the Law on Persons with Disabilities experiencing a deadlock, but in the process the disability movement has not been able to process the issue of inclusive citizenship in its struggle, and the local government as if it does not understand what the disability movement is trying to achieve. Instead of make realize the ideals of inclusive citizenship, the Disability Movement is trapped in an exclusive movement model. The Movement Model in DIY Province is an example in the struggle for inclusive citizenship which was initially considered successful but later suffered a deadlock.
