The purpose of this study are: (1) Identify the supply chain model of coconut desiccated at PT. XYZ and (2) to analyze the supply chain management of desiccated coconut at PT. XYZ. The research was conducted over 2 months ie from September to November 2016 and is located in PT. XYZ (pseudonym), in North Sulawesi. The data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained through field observation and direct interviews. Interviews were conducted with the company related logistics company to find a picture of the supply chain and supply chain management is done by the company. In addition, the researchers also conducted interviews with coconut farmers and collectors to determine the condition of the current coconut price as well as the flow of raw material coconuts from the famers to supplier. Secondary data were obtained from the relevant literature, as well as documents and reports that are owned by companies and agencies. This study focuses on the management of the flow of material and information flow of the supply chain of coconut flour at PT. XYZ. The results of observations and interviews were analyzed with descriptive qualitative analysis methods. The results showed that (1) Members of coconut flour supply chain at. XYZ, namely (a) the raw material supplier of coconut spread in some areas, (b) PT. XYZ for purchasing, sales, shipping and production, (c) Expediting Services to send products from Bitung harbor, next to the port of Tanjung Priok to be exported to the country of destination, (d) The customer, in this case the food companies that require raw materials coconut flour to be produced into chocolate bars, cookies, dessert, and so forth. (2) (a) Selection of supplier PT. XYZ is good enough, because every supplier who will supply the raw material to go through the interview stage, made a deal with the company and agree to the terms proposed by the company. PT. XYZ also maintain good relations with its suppliers with visits annually; (b) the flow of material and information flow is managed by PT. XYZ is good enough. Any information purchasing, sales, shipping and finance centered PT.XYZ headquarters is located in Manado and PT. XYZ manage information about the quantity of raw materials available in the warehouse and general condition of the plant.

With the market competition increasing of power enterprises, strengthen the supply chain management become more and more important. It has an important guiding significance to enhance the level and effect of supply chain management that study the issue of supply chain management and evaluation by using supply chain management maturity (SCMM). This paper makes a combination of supply chain management methods and the particularity of power enterprises, and using the theory of SCMM, to build a SCMM level evaluation system from three aspects of logistics, information flow and capital flow. On this basis, we use a method that combines set-valued statistics with triangular fuzzy number Lo evaluate. Finally, it proves that the SCMM level evaluation system is scientific and rational through examples study.

Supply chain management has been increasingly seen as a strategic tool to improve the competitiveness of companies. Coopetition, the mingling of competitive and cooperative relationships, has been utilised by New Zealand companies in the horticulture industry to help break into and develop new markets. Using a case study various elements of the supply chain are examined from both strategic and operational perspectives for this group of companies and their customers and suppliers. The connections to the customer are shown to be enhanced through careful implementation, as the group of companies act to adjust their entire supply chains to make them increasingly customer-orientated. Significant benefits that are shown to accrue include improved information flow, increased ability to supply, and flexibility to meet customer requirements.

Member organisations in a supply chain are dependent on each other to provide material, services and information to perform optimally in the supply chain. Efficient, unrestricted information flow is needed in supply chains to function properly. Information flow is thus an element of supply chain management that needs to be managed. Yet, no indication could be found in supply chain management literature of the measurement of information flow efficiency. Hence, the aim of this article is to explore the measurement of information flow efficiency in supply chain management (SCM) and exploratively develop possible measures (indicators and associated metrics) to measure the efficiency of information flow.In this research the theory of information and related concepts, the basic notions of information systems and the models of business performance measurement were explored. Based on information flow theory and information flow characteristics a research instrument was developed. It was used in a survey to seek inputs from supply chain managers as to the usefulness of characteristics as indicators and metrics for the measurement of information flow efficiency in a supply chain. The main contribution of the study is the development of a conceptual framework of indicators and metrics that may be used to evaluate the efficiency of information flows in supply chains. The results of this study can be used as a basis for further studies to validate the instrument for measuring information flow efficiency and to develop scales to actually measure information flow efficiency.

This paper explores and extends the supply chain management strategy for food products effectively and efficiently through analysis of insights to linked partnerships within the supply chain due to the possibility of a global food crisis. The required solution is a collaboration of all parties in the supply chain since an effective supply chain management strategy (ESCMS) for food products is through proper insight between linked partnerships, including customer satisfaction through service quality, well-defined requirements and expectations, effective and clear communication, mutual relationship management, and close relationships from partnerships. ESCMS for food products must have the strategy of supply-to-stock and supply-to-order (efficient and responsive), effective collaboration within the supply chain, well-defined expectations and requirements, effective communication and information flow, mutual relationship management, and close relationships as partners. This insight of linked partnership throughout the supply chain would contribute by reducing and solving problems such as over supply, inconsistency of price (high and low), global food supply, and the conflict among partnerships, including an increase in the consistency of farmers’ careers.
