The aim of this paper is to answer the question of the distribution of welding distortions. The MIG method was used to make 31 butt welds of 0H18N9 sheet metal, of 6 mm thickness and dimensions 150x350 mm. All joints are made with constant parameters of the welding process. Statistical analysis of the distribution and Kolomogorov-Smirnov test were used in this paper. On the grounds of the analysis it was proved that the distribution of welding deformations is a normal distribution. This justifies the use of experiment planning methods and the use of average values. The relatively high value of the standard deviation makes it necessary to take into account the geometrical parameters of the joint.

Deterioration of ancient masonry is a contemporary problem. The initial properties of the masonry material that determine its durability, deterioration and degree of preservation have led to the appearance of different approaches towards choosing the technology for restoring masonry. The success of any restoration is largely determined by its compatibility with the original materials used, which requires, as a rule, a complex and long process of selecting their composition. One of the main technological approaches in the science of restoration materials is to search for the optimal composition of the material within a given time limit. This paper presents an approach which uses a large number of variables within strict boundary conditions. The solution to this problem can be found in the field of mathematical modelling using experiment planning methods. The paper presents a method developed for mortar optimization which makes it possible to obtain the desired result within a relatively short period of time.

Research was сarried out on a pilot plant on sintering of various size siderite ore and limonite taken in various ratios. To study impact of a number of process factors on the sintering process performance and the obtained agglomerate quality at the minimum number of the carried out experiments, one of the experiment planning methods was used, and regression equations were derived. With these equations the effect of the ore size, siderite ore and limonite ratio, solid fuel consumption, sintered layer height on the agglomeration unit performance and the agglomerate metallurgical properties was reviewed. The obtained work results have great practical importance, as they allow optimization of siderite ore sintering operation conditions and production of high quality agglomerate. They may be used at a variety of the country agglomeration factories, where siderite ores will be used as iron ore component of the sinter burden.

В действующих Нормах технологические расчёты числа причалов и их пропускной способности определяются введением в формулы коэффициента Кмет для каждой специализации перевалки грузов в целом по каждому порту. Исследования, проведённые на причалах Шесхариса Новороссийского порта, показали большую зависимость их эксплуатационных характеристик от помех по метеофакторам, а также от ориентации причалов относительно главенствующих направлений ветра и волн. Разработан метод определения параметров помех по метеофакторам, где он интерпретируется как поток случайных событий. Расчёты показали, что этот поток является простейшим потоком с показательным распределением его времени действия. Методами планирования эксперимента был рассчитан необходимый ряд наблюдений. Полученные результаты позволяют привлечь к расчётам основных технологических параметров причалов теорию массового обслуживания с определением ущерба от помех индивидуально для каждого причала. Это имеет большую практическую ценность, и особенно важно для проектирования рейдовых причалов, строительство которых сейчас актуально на побережьях Дальнего востока и Крайнего севера.In current regulations technological calculations of piers number and their traffic capacity are defined by introduction of Kmet coefficient into formulas for each cargo transshipment in general over each port. Research made on Sheskharis oil harbour in Novorossiysk port showed a strong dependence of their performance characteristics from meteorological factors and main primary directions of wind and waves. A new method of defining characteristics of meteorological factors caused disturbance, in which it is interpreted as a flow of random events. The calculations show that this flow is the simplest flow with exemplary distribution. Experiment planning methods allowed us to calculate the time necessary for one cycle of observation. Results acquired allow us to use in calculations of basic technological characteristics of piers the theory of mass service, defining the disturbance caused harm individually for each pier. It has a big practical use and is especially important for designing of offshore terminals, building of which is important nowadays for Far East coast and Far North.
