Introduction: Symptomatic uterine fibroids can cause symptoms that can be disabling. There are many treatments, including ulipristal acetate, whose role in reducing symptoms and decreasing the size of the fibroid is well known. With this preliminary study, we also try to evaluate the correlation between myoma vascularization measured by ultrasound (Power Doppler 2D) and serum VEGF levels, before and after treatment with ulipristal acetate; in patients diagnosed with symptomatic uterine fibroids. Materials and Methods: A preliminary, prospective observational pilot study was designed. Twenty-four premenopausal women, diagnosed with symptomatic uterine fibroids, were included and all of them completed the study. Four cycles of ulipristal acetate were administered according to the dose and indications specified in the data sheet. In order to assess the influence of this treatment on the angiogenesis process of the fibroids, measurements of VEGF serum levels were made and their vascularization was assessed by means of 2D power doppler ultrasound; at the beginning and the end of treatment. In addition, several determinations of the same parameters were made throughout the successive visits. Endpoints were defined as the decrease in VEGF levels from previous levels, the decrease in myoma vascularization on ultrasound, and the reduction in myoma size. Result: 24 patients who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled (n=24). The average size of myomas was reduced from 45,08 ? 24,02mm to 29?16,96mm after treatment. The average VEGF serum level significantly decreased after the first treatment cycle (from 147,17 ? 153,51 pg/ml to 102,04 ? 186,08pg/ml). Vascularization of myomas after treatment with ulipristal acetate was analyzed, and a significantly decrease was achieved in 83,3% of cases. Conclusion: There is a correlation between myoma vascularization and treatment with Ulipristal acetate. SPRMs may provide effective treatment for women with symptomatic fibroids by two ways: supports selective progesterone receptor modulators and reduced angiogenesis. Kinect technology which works in four ways of sensing through a natural user gesture and spoken command interfaces: motion sensor, skeletal tracking, facial recognition and voice recognition.is potentially suitable to be implemented in educational game application. In this paper, we investigate Kinect sensors type that could be used in learning that resulting interactive fun-learning environment. A prototype system which implementing the sensors has been developed and tested in teaching Science Primary One at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Tasik, Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia. The Kinect application let the student explore and participate physically during learning period and by providing good multimedia content, they can understand the syllabus easier and in a fun way, thus creating good bond between teachers and students. Natural interaction could be suitable to be implemented for learning in the classroom, however, the implementation of Kinect in classroom has technical limitations for example it requires large classroom space. But still, living in the 21st century where the technology is emerging, the education also needs to be one step ahead. Therefore it can be said that Kinect and education are able working together well.

Hedonic price theory is adapted to advertising. A quality-adjusted advertising spending function is embedded in a sales response model and the parameters of both equations are estimated in one step. The procedure provides an alternative to the judgmental aggregation of attributes of advertising quality into a single value. The results permit comparison of the sales effects of variations in advertising spending with the effects of variations in copy quality, and permit computation of an advertising figure that accounts for both copy quality and actual spending. A pilot study illustrates the procedure.

Computer programs are now available in various laboratories for the indexing and simulation of transmission electron diffraction patterns. Although these programs address themselves to the solution of various aspects of the indexing and simulation process, the ultimate goal is to perform real time diffraction pattern analysis directly off of the imaging screen of the transmission electron microscope. The program to be described in this paper represents one step prior to real time analysis. It involves the combination of two programs, described in an earlier paper(l), into a single program for use on an interactive basis with a minicomputer. In our case, the minicomputer is an INTERDATA 70 equipped with a Tektronix 4010-1 graphical display terminal and hard copy unit.A simplified flow diagram of the combined program, written in Fortran IV, is shown in Figure 1. It consists of two programs INDEX and TEDP which index and simulate electron diffraction patterns respectively. The user has the option of choosing either the indexing or simulating aspects of the combined program.
