Data on fat tissue distribution by various fat deposits as well as internal organs of the bulls of Ukrainian beef breed at 22,5 months of age with different growth rates have been presented in the article. Growth rate was estimated by average daily gain from 8 to 12 months of age. Depending on the growth rates, the bulls were divided into fast growing group (with average daily gains exceeding 1090 g, averaged 1207 g) and slow growing group (below 1090 g/day, averaged 1015 g). It has been proved that the lowest percentage from the total amount of fat was attributed to pericardial fat tissue and intramuscular fat tissue, the highest - to intestines, omentum and skin. Cattle with relatively higher daily gains had higher ability to accumulate raw fat by 4,5%, including pericardial fat – in 2 times, perinephric fat – by 4,5%, intestinal fat – by 10,6% and intramuscular fat – by 24%. Weight of animal organs and body parts, such as head, internal organs etc. can be considered as a factor that determine slaughter percentage. Cattle with higher rates of gain have the tendency to have higher fat output from the carcass by 5.8% and lower weight of head (by 9,6 %), lungs (by 12,5 %), and internal secretion glands, including testicles (by 8,9 %). For the effective beef production, the bulls with lower rates of gain from 8 to 12 months of age are better suited, because they are relatively taller, which indicates higher rate of metabolism, and lower predispose to fat accumulation.

Objective: To assess the success of BMG urethroplasty in long segment anterior urethral stricture. Method: From January 2014 to December 2015, twenty male patients with long anterior segment urethral stricture were managed by BMG urethroplasty. After voiding trial they were followed up at 3 month with Uroflowmetry, RGU & MCU and PVR measurement by USG. Patients were further followed up with Uroflowmetry and PVR at 6 months interval.Successful outcome was defined as normal voiding with a maximum flow rate >15ml /sec and PVR<50 ml with consideration of maximum one attempt of OIU after catheter removal. Results: Mean stricture length was 5.2 cm (range 3-9 cm) and mean follow-up was 15.55 months (range 6-23 months). Only two patients developed stricture at proximal anastomotic site during follow-up. One of them voided normally after single attempt of OIU. Other one required second attempt of OIU and was considered as failure (5%). Conclusion: BMG urethroplasty is a simple technique with good surgical outcome. Bangladesh Journal of Urology, Vol. 19, No. 2, July 2016 p.64-68

The objective of the study is to show significance of desynchronosis laboratory markers in risk assessment of metabolic syndrome (MS) development. Materials and Methods. There were examined 98 men, aged 43-88, diagnosed with dyscirculatory encephalopathy showing one and more risk factors for development of cardiovascular diseases. They were divided into 2 groups according to the international guidelines of 2009: with MS (n = 61) and without MS (n = 37). Parameters of fats, glucose metabolism, inflammatory mediators, fat tissue metabolism markers, melatonin metabolite excretion (6-sulfatoxymelatonin) were defined in blood serum and urine. Results. The article presents data on changes in leptin, adiponectin, PAI-1, testosterone production and 6-sulfatoxymela-tonin excretion in patients with MS. There are calculated threshold values of these markers definitely increasing MS risk and logistic regression equation which allows assessing MS risk for an individual patient. Conclusion. Detected disorders of melatonin synthesis diurnal dynamics in patients with MS and interconnection between melatonin production and adiponectin, leptin, PAI-1, testosterone synthesis allow considering these parameters as desynchronosis markers significant for MS development.
