Cyclohexane oxidation by H2O2 to cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, and cyclohexylhydroperoxide under mild (40 °C, 1 atm) conditions is significantly enhanced in the system composed of VO(acac)2 (starting catalyst) and small additives of oxalic acid (process promoter).

The present research investigates the electrochemical behavior of a solar cell sensitized with Bismark Brown R azopolymer. This cell was developed from the electropolymerization of the dye on a conductive glass substrate coated with fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO) by cyclic voltammetry. The photosensitive behavior of the obtained film was analyzed by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry in the presence of pulsed light. The poly(azo-Bismarck R) exhibited reversible light-induced changes of electrical conductance, due to azo group photoisomerization. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was also carried out under a light source. This technique allowed to evaluate interfacial phenomena existing in the photovoltaic device, performing a Recebido em: 27/08/2018Aprovado em: 16/09/2018 52Colloquium Exactarum, v. 10, n.3,Jul-Set. 2018, p.51–65. A decrease in electrical resistance was observed with the lightincidence on the polymer membrane indicating charge transfer to the polymer conduction band.Photo-responsive film of Bismarck Brown can be developed for advanced organic photovoltaic such as solar cells.

This paper has experimentally measured volcanic tufa electrical conductance. The calculations are carried out in accordance with the potential of cyclic voltammetry in a constant state. The cyclic voltammograms nanoelectrode platinum prepared electrochemically were examined in the range -0.2 to 1.2 V vs. AgCl [Cl-]:1.0 M in the presence and absence of volcanic tuff in the aqueous solution of 1.0 M HCl. The cyclic voltammetry studies show that the Nano platinum film suffers degradation when the potential exceeds +0.85 V, and below this potential, it is quite stable. The redox reaction of the electrode is reversible. The nanoparticle platinum synthesized at low temperature and high acid concentration exhibits higher electronic conductivities. It has been observed that, relative to area under the peak aggregate tests, the use of volcanic concrete was showing a large increase in electrical conductivity. It was shown that with cyclic voltammetry, three well-defined anode peak could be achieved at a power of 0.0, 0.4 and 0.6 V versus Ag/AgCl.

The recent scenario of modern manufacturing is tremendously improved in the sense of precision machining and abstaining from environmental pollution and hazard issues. In the present work, Ti6Al4V is machined through wire EDM (WEDM) process with powder mixed dielectric and analyzed the influence of input parameters and inherent hazard issues. WEDM has different parameters such as peak current, pulse on time, pulse off time, gap voltage, wire speed, wire tension and so on, as well as dielectrics with powder mixed. These are playing an essential role in WEDM performances to improve the process efficiency by developing the surface texture, microhardness, and metal removal rate. Even though the parameter’s influencing, the study of environmental effect in the WEDM process is very essential during the machining process due to the high emission of toxic vapour by the high discharge energy. In the present study, three different dielectric fluids were used, including deionised water, kerosene, and surfactant added deionised water and analysed the data by taking one factor at a time (OFAT) approach. From this study, it is established that dielectric types and powder significantly improve performances with proper set of machining parameters and find out the risk factor associated with the PMWEDM process.

<p>A manganese substituted Anderson type polyoxometalate, [MnMo6O24]9-, tethered with an anthracene photosensitizer was prepared and used as catalyst for CO2 reduction. The polyoxometalate-photosensitizer hybrid complex, obtained by covalent attachment of the sensitizer to only one face of the planar polyoxometalate, was characterized by NMR, IR and mass spectroscopy. Cyclic voltammetry measurements show a catalytic response for the reduction of carbon dioxide, thereby suggesting catalysis at the manganese site on the open face of the polyoxometalate. Controlled potentiometric electrolysis showed the reduction of CO2 to CO with a TOF of ~15 sec-1. Further photochemical reactions showed that the polyoxometalate-anthracene hybrid complex was active for the reduction of CO2 to yield formic acid and/or CO in varying amounts dependent on the reducing agent used. Control experiments showed that the attachment of the photosensitizer to [MnMo6O24]9- is necessary for photocatalysis.</p><div><br></div>

The straightforward synthesis and photophysical properties of a new series of heteroleptic Iridium (III) bis(2-arylimidazole) picolinate complexes is reported. Each complex has been characterized by NMR, UV-Vis, cyclic voltammetry, and the emissive properties of each is described. By systematically modifying first the cyclometallating aryl group on the arylimidazole ligand and then the picolinate ligand, the ramifications of ligand modification in these complexes was better understood through the construction of a structure-property relationship.
