It is proposed to modify the method of obtaining self-compacting masses by changing the nature of the compacting component ― from expensive and environmentally unsafe polystyrene to a burnable plantbased additive that can self-absorb shrinkage moisture from the molding material enclosed in a hydraulically closed volume. At the same time, part of the mixing water under pressure penetrates into the clay particles with pre-modified physicochemical properties of the surface, forming a semi-permeable shell. Ill. 3. The modes of electric heating of the self-compacting mass are determined. Three periods of changes in its specific electrical resistance are noted, due to the water absorption capacity of the herbal supplement. The relationship between electrophysical processes and their influence on the compaction of the mixture is described. The scheme of raw drying according to the rate of moisture loss is considered. The selection of the firing regime was carried out taking into account the influence of gases formed during the burnout of the vegetable additive and volumetric changes in clay during sintering. The microstructure of the lightweight material is characterized by a large number of circular closed pores in the range of 0,1‒1,2 mm. Ill. 5. Tab. 3.

The Editorial outlines recent research advances in green insecticide research. Particular attention is devoted to studies shedding light on the modes of action and non-target toxicity of natural substances of plant origin. Research focusing on the development of new formulations (including those relating to nano-objects) to magnify the effectiveness and stability of green insecticides in the field represents key advances. Herein, a carefully reviewed selection of cutting edge articles about green pesticide development recently published in Molecules is presented. The impact of sub-lethal doses of green insecticides on insect behavioral traits is still overlooked, representing a timely challenge for further research.

A computational-experimental method of material selection for thermal protective clothing design is proposed in this article. The intended operating temperature of the garment lies within the range of 40−170 °С. The prereq¬uisite for the research was the lack of information regarding changes in the physical-mechanical and ergonomic characteristics of material assemblies during their use under high-temperature conditions. During the initial stage of research, there was a problem associated with the selection of the most important and the exclusion of the least significant indicators, in order to further reduce the number of experimental tests in laboratory and industrial conditions. The authors used the method of expert evaluations to solve the problems related to the selection of the most significant indicators for material assemblies. Material assemblies were formed by vary¬ing the combinations of heat-resistant, heat-insulation and lining layers of materials. Initial information for the proposed method was obtained from the experimental tests of sixteen material assemblies. According to the results of the ranking, the main parameters of material assemblies were identified as follows: the temperature range for which the use of clothing is intended, thickness, mass per unit density, rupture resistance, relative tear¬ing elongation, change in linear dimensions during mechanical loads, air permeability and change in assembly thickness during cyclic loads. It was established that the assembly that includes heat-resistant material of the Nomex comfort N.307 220 top, Nomex Serie 100 heat-insulation lining and Nomex TER 135 lining provides the necessary level of protection, reliability and ergonomics, and meets cost requirements.

Introduction. Promising sources of preparation of antiinflammatory drugs of interest for practical medicine are substances of plant origin. One of them is eucalimine, isolated from leaves or shoots of eucalyptus prutoid (Eucalyptus viminalis Labil) of the myrtle family (Myrtaceae), is a purified sum of terpenoid phenoloaldehydes of the floroglucine series (euglobals) and triterpenoids.Aim. The purpose of the present work is to create drug pencils with eucalimine for the prevention and treatment of inflammatory skin diseases.Materials and methods. The object of research is eucalymin. The study of the shape and size of ekalimine particles and its distribution in various dispersion media: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, emulsion wax, castor oil, peach oil, medical petroleum jelly was carried out. Results and discussion. The paper presents the results of experimental studies justifying the selection of adjuvants for medical pencils and their standardization.Conclusion. The composition and technology of medicinal pencils with eucalimine for external use has been developed, quality indicators have been established.
