This study was carried out in greenhouse Date to palm Research units, College of Agriculture, University of Baghdad ( Abu Ghraib ) , seasons 2013 and 2014 to investigate the effect of foliar application organic matter extract and humic acid and their interactions on yield of strawberry plants . The study include 12 treatments , to spray strawberry's plant with four levels of organic matter spray included distilled water only (T0) , (1) volume of organic matter extract to volume of distilled water ( 1:1)  (T1) , (2) volume of organic matter extract to volume of distilled water (2:1 ) (T2 ) and (3) volume of organic matter extract volume of distilled water (3:1) (T3), the second factor was three concentrations of humifert-ultra , 0( H0 ) , 2.5 ml.L-1 ( H2.5) and 5 ml.L-1  ( H5 ) to the soil . Factorial Experiment carried out according to RCBD with  three replications , averages compared by LSD test at the level of 5% probability. Results that have been obtained is that spraying plants extract organic matter led to a significant increase in the number of flowers and the percentage of the contract and the number of fruits and had no significant effect on yield of plant. addition of humic acid led to a significant increase in the number of flowers and the percentage of fruit set and the number of fruits and fruit weight and yield of plant .

A field experiment was undertaken during kharif 2012 to study effect of biofertilizers and foliar application of organic acids on yield, nutrient uptake and microbial activity of soybean at MARS, Dharwad under rainfed condition. The experiment was laid out in RCBD factorial having twenty treatment combinations and replicated thrice. The treatments comprised of four P-Solubilizers (PSB, VAM, PSB + VAM and Control) and five foliar spray of organic acids (Humic acid, Lecithin, Citric acid, Maleic acid and control). The results revealed that higher seed yield of soybean (35.96 q ha-1) was obtained with the treatment combination of dual inoculation of PSB+VAM with foliar spray of 0.1% humic acid at flower initiation and was higher to an extent 22.5 per cent compared to control (27.90 q ha-1). Similar trend was observed on microbial activity and nutrient uptake (N, P2O5 and K2O) of the soybean crop.

Abstract Foliar application and seed soaking has been used as a means of supplying supplemental doses of nutrients, plant hormones, stimulants, and organic components. the effects of these applications have included yield increases, and improved drought tolerance, and enhanced crop quality, so A field experiment was carried out during spring seasons in 2019 and 2020 for styding Seed soaking and Foliar Application of Ascorbic acid, Citric acid and Humic acid on Growth, Yield and Active Components IN Maize. Randomized complete block design in split plots arrangement was used with three replicates. Main-plots were for seeds soaking with ascorbic, citric (100 mg l-1) frequently and humic at (1 ml l-1). Sub-plots were for vegetative parts nutrition with same acids above. Results showed a significant superiority of seeds soaking in humic acid for traits of ears number per plant (1.3 and 1.6), rows number per ear (16.6 and 17.5), grains number per row (39.3 and 45.3), grains number per ear (644.3 and 793.5), weight of 300 grains (75.3 and 100.6 g), total grain yield ( 6.0 and 8.3 ton ha-1), shelling ratio (79.3 and 85.1%), biological yield (20.7 and 26.8 ton ha-1), harvesting index (30.4 and 31.2%), in both seasons respectively. Effect of vegetative parts nutrition or interaction between studied factors was non-significant on most traits studied. It can be concluded that soaking maize seeds in humic acid improves yield and yield components.

Castor bean is considered as an important non-edible oilseed crop and source of castor oil, which has many applications ranging from cosmetics to the biofuels industry. Humic acid (HA) results from organic matter decomposition and is beneficial to plant growth and development. In the present study, a two-year experiment was conducted in Damghan, Iran, to study the physiological responses of castor bean to foliar application of zinc nano-chelate (Zn-nano) and HA under drought stress. The drought stress was used as the main treatment in three levels: normal irrigation as control, irrigation up to 75 BBCH scale (Biologische Bundesantalt, Bundessortenamt und Chemische Industrie) (mild stress), and irrigation up to 65 BBCH (severe stress). Foliar application of HA in three levels (non-application, application of the recommended rate and two times more than the recommended rate), as well as Zn-nano fertilizer in two levels (application at 1.5 part per thousand (ppt) and non-application) as subplots. The drought stress, HA, and Zn-nano fertilizer could significantly affect the number of capsules, the number of seeds, 100-seed weight, seed yield, oil yield, protein percentage and yield, activities of catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and peroxidase (POD), and chlorophyll a (Chl a), chlorophyll b (Chl b), and total chlorophyll (total Chl) contents. In addition, severe drought stress resulted in reducing the number of capsules (33.9%), the number of seeds (32.7%), 100-grain weight (16.0%), as well as seed (43.0%), oil (59.3%), and protein (29.9%) yield. Based on the results, the highest yield components, oil and protein contents, and photosynthetic pigments were achieved in the foliar application of HA (recommended rate) and Zn-nano fertilizers under normal irrigation during the second year. Further, the foliar application of Zn-nano fertilizer led to a decrease in the activities of CAT, SOD, and POD enzymes. According to partial regression analysis, the recommended rate of HA application the changed the nature of relationships governing the characteristics, especially under drought stress conditions. Finally, the foliar application of HA (recommended rate) and Zn-nano fertilizers could create an excellent resistance to drought stress in castor under dry and semi-arid climate conditions by improving yield and yield components and physiological traits.
