Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa SMA dalam pemecahan masalah dan komunikasi matematik melalui pendekatan problem posing dalam pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Garut. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak berdasarkan kelas, sampelnya adalah kelas XII IPA 1 yang mendapat pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan problem posing dan siswa kelas XII IPA 3 yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMA: 1. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa yang mendapatkan pendekatan problem posing lebih baik dibandingkan dengan konvensional, 2. Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematik antara siswa yang mendapatkan pendekatan problem posing dengan konvensional, 3. Tidak terdapat kaitan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematik pada siswa yang mendapatkan pendekatan problem posing. The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of high school students in problem solving and communication of mathematics through problem posing approach to learning mathematics. The method used is a quasi-experimental method. The study population was one of the students in high schools in Garut. Samples were selected randomly based on the class, the sample is a class XII IPA 1 gets learning using problem posing approach and class XII IPA 3 students who received conventional learning. Conclusion The results of this study is that the study of mathematics in high school: 1. mathematical problem solving ability of students to get a better problem posing approach compared to conventional, 2. there is no difference in the ability of mathematical communication between students who received conventional approach to problem posing, 3. there was no significant association between mathematical problem solving skills with communication skills in students who get a mathematical problem posing approach.

Abstract This study aims to know the impact of the Creative Problem Solving learning model based on android on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The numbers population was all students of SD Tunas Bangsa. The technique of determining the sample used simple random sampling. This research used pre-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques used learning outcomes tests to measure the student’s learning outcomes both before and after being given treatment, documentation, and observations about student learning activities and teacher observations regarding the implementation of the model during the learning process. Descriptive statistical analysis data described the students’ mathematics learning outcomes. Inferential statistical analysis to test the hypothesis using the dependent t-test or Paired-Sample T-Test with SPSS 21.0 version. The results of the research showed that there was an impact of the Creative Problem Solving learning model based on android towards learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the results of the pretest in the less category experienced an increase in posttest learning outcomes in the good category. It can be concluded that there is an the impact of Creative Problem Solving learning model based on android towards learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract:. Problem solving is one of ways to develop higher order thinking skills. Strategy of problem solving that can be developed in mathematics learning is Polya's strategy. This study aims to analyze the problem solving difficulties of elementary school students based on Polya strategy. To support this research,descriptive analysis is used on seven elementary school students . The results show that, the difficulty of mathematical problems solving of elementary school students consist of the difficulty of understanding the problem, determining the mathematical formula/concepts that is used, making connections between mathematical concepts, and reviewing the correctness of answers with questions. These happened because the problem presented is in a story problem, that is rarely studied by the students. Students usually solve mathematical problems in a form of routine questions, which only require answers in a form of algorithmic calculations. Abstrak: Pemecahan masalah adalah salah satu cara dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu strategi pemecahan masalah yang dapat dikembangkan pada pembelajaran matematik adalah strategi Polya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesulitan pemecahan masalah siswa sekolah dasar berdasarkan strategi Polya. Untuk mendukung penelitian ini digunakan analisis deskriptif pada tujuh orang siswa sekolah dasar. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa, kesulitan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa sekolah dasar meliputi, kesulitan memahami masalah, menentukan rumus/konsep matematik yang digunakan, membuat koneksi antar konsep matematika, dan melihat kembali kebenaran jawaban dengan soal. Hal tersebut disebabkan, masalah yang disajikan berupa soal cerita yang jarang dipelajari siswa. Siswa biasanya menyelesaikan masalah matematik berupa soal rutin, yang hanya menuntut jawaban berupa perhitungan algoritmik.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran berbasis penilaian dan melihat keefektifannya terhadap performa matematika siswa di sekolah dasar. Desain penilaian dikembangkan berdasarkan empat unsur, yaitu fokus pembelajaran, pertanyaan efektif, umpan balik formatif, serta penilaian diri dan sejawat. Tahapan yang direncanakan untuk implementasi pengembangan meliputi tahap inisiasi, konsolidasi, dan penanaman. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan hasil pada tahapan pertama sebagai langkah awal untuk tahapan-tahapan selanjutnya. Performa matematika diukur dengan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dari 37 siswa kelas tiga sekolah dasar yang dengan suka rela berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah diperoleh dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Analisis dilakukan lewat statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, dan statistik nonparametrik (Wilcoxon Signed Rank) dengan program SPSS 21. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sekolah dasar melalui desain penilaian yang telah dikembangkan. Kata Kunci: penilaian, pembelajaran berbasis penilaian, pemecahan masalah, pembelajaran matematika DEVELOPING AN ASSESSMENT-BASED LEARNING DESIGN IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION Abstract: This research was aimed to develop an assessment-based learning design and to investigate the effectiveness of the mathematical performance of elementary school students. The design was developed based on a framework consisting of the learning focus, effective questions, formative feedback, and self-and peer-assessment. The stages of the development included the initiation stage, consolidation, and the embedding stage. This study was to describe the results of the initiation stage as the first step. The mathematical performance was measured using a test of a problem-solving abilities. The subjects consisted of 38 third-grade students selected based on purposive sampling. The problemsolving ability data were gathered using the pre-test and the post-test. This study found that there was an increase in the mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students through the assessment-based learning design.
