Flash floods are among the most dangerous natural disasters. As climate change and urbanization advance, an increasing number of people are at risk of flash floods. The application of remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) technologies in the study of flash floods has increased significantly over the last 20 years. In this paper, more than 200 articles published in the last 20 years are summarized and analyzed. First, a visualization analysis of the literature is performed, including a keyword co-occurrence analysis, time zone chart analysis, keyword burst analysis, and literature co-citation analysis. Then, the application of remote sensing and GIS technologies to flash flood disasters is analyzed in terms of aspects such as flash flood forecasting, flash flood disaster impact assessments, flash flood susceptibility analyses, flash flood risk assessments, and the identification of flash flood disaster risk areas. Finally, the current research status is summarized, and the orientation of future research is also discussed.

Abstract In the research of flash flood disaster monitoring and early warning, the Internet of Things is widely used in real-time information collection. There are abnormal situations such as noise, repetition and errors in a large amount of data collected by sensors, which will lead to false alarm, lower prediction accuracy and other problems. Aiming at the characteristic that outliers flow of sensors will cause obvious fluctuation of information entropy, this paper proposes a local outlier detection method based on information entropy and optimized by sliding window and LOF (Local Outlier Factor). This method can be used to improve the data quality, thus improving the accuracy of disaster prediction. The method is applied to data stream processing of water sensor, and the experimental results show that the method can accurately detect outliers. Compared with the existing detection methods that only use data distance to determine, the test positive rate is improved and the false positive rate is reduced.

School-age children as one of population play an important role in flood natural disaster preparedness. The occurrence of flood natural disaster in Kemiri village of Panti gave both material and immaterial impacts. Flood natural disaster preparedness that can be carried out independently by the community can help empower the community independently or jointly reduce its impact. This research was a descriptive explorative research that aimed to determine the ability of school-age children about preparing themselves in the preparedness of natural flood disasters. The sample was taken by simple random sampling with 75 school age children participated in this study. Data were collected by using flood disaster preparedness questionnaire and analyzed with univariate analysis in percentage form. The results obtained that school-age children were still lacking in the 7 indicators of preparedness toward natural flash flood disaster. It was shown from each indicator that majority of children still do not have the ability toward flood natural disaster preparedness. School-age children as part of a community need to get a disaster preparedness skill that will help them take an active role in the communinity including at home and school.
