AbstractThe distribution of relief materials is an important part of post-disaster emergency rescue. To meet the needs of the relief materials in the affected areas after a sudden disaster and ensure its smooth progress, an optimized dispatch model for multiple periods and multiple modes of transportation supported by the Internet of Things is established according to the characteristics of relief materials. Through the urgent production of relief materials, market procurement, and the use of inventory collection, the needs of the disaster area are met and the goal of minimizing system response time and total cost is achieved. The model is solved using CPLX software, and numerical simulation and results are analyzed using the example of the COVID-19 in Wuhan City, and the dispatching strategies are given under different disruption scenarios. The results show that the scheduling optimization method can meet the material demand of the disaster area with shorter time and lower cost compared with other methods, and can better cope with the supply interruptions that occur in post-disaster rescue.

Purpose Based on the context of the Internet of Things (IoT), the territorial public emergency supplies will be networked, platform-based management, unified emergency dispatch. The problem of supplies dispatching in the “last kilometer” of emergency is solved, and the supplies needed in the disaster area are promptly delivered to the hands of the victims so that they can quickly be rescued after the disaster and to save valuable time for rapid rescue, which can greatly decrease casualties and property losses. This paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach By analyzing the shortage of existing emergency supplies dispatching research and taking all factors such as disaster area demand, social reserve, road conditions, mode of transport, loading limit, disaster area satisfaction rate and road capacity into consideration under the background of IoT, a variety of the territorial emergency supplies dispatching model with more rescue points, more affected areas are constructed. The objective function of the model is to aim in finding the shortest rescue time, giving the solution algorithm, and finally simulating the simulation case. Findings Based on the context of the IoT, the territorial public emergency supplies will be networked, platform-based management, unified emergency dispatch. Considering factors such as road conditions, modes of transport and road capacity, the authors construct a number of emergency rescue plans, multiple disaster scenarios and various emergency supplies dispatching models. The authors simulate the situation through simulation cases with the shortest time being the ultimate goal. Originality/value This paper provides little research on the dispatch of emergency supplies. The problems of direct dispatch from the rescue point to the affected area and dispatch of supplies without relying on the arrival of emergency supplies at the rear are addressed. Therefore, this study does not focus on the arrival of emergency supplies at the rear but on direct dispatching issues during territorial public emergency supplies from the rescue point to the disaster point.

The internet of things automatic expandability management and control technology are a key technology, which include adjusting member server numbers immediately according to load of servers group, optimizing internet of things servers system performance, making the system response time become fast, and making servers system energy consumption decrease. With the integrated technology research of detecting servers load, expandability management and control, load balance and so on ,the problem ,which is the internet of things servers group numbers are increased or decreased automatically when the internet of things servers load is too heavy or too light,is solved, servers group intelligent expandability and servers group intelligent load balance are realized. With system test, servers system performances and response times are improved obviously.

This study aims to apply the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to control electronic devices and monitor the electrical power usage remotely via the Internet. The system was implemented using Wemos D1, ACS712 current sensor, relay, and the Blynk application as the system interface on the smartphone. The system used an average of 0.4-3.3 seconds to respond to commands from the Blynk application via a Wifi connection at a distance of 50-1000 meters and the device control and power monitoring system can function properly. The system response time was not affected by distance. This system with Wifi access can be an alternative to control devices and monitor their power usage in addition to a longer time of SMS access and shorter range of Bluetooth.

(Children's Problems on the Refuge in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam) - Restoration of post disaster area is a big agenda to recovery this area and to build life of system. Nature of disaster, earthquakes and tsunamis in Aceh (26/12/1004), this moment has attracted the attention from around the world to help and give support for peoples in disaster area. For that, some of different effort to recovery this area, involving the stakeholder, built a networking, develop and support a soladirity with a humanity of sense. A part of the big agenda of Aceh Recovery, it's very important to give a chance for children to be actor in this agenda, considering with the best for the children principles.

A new spring balancing technique, called a two-phase optimization method, is presented. Phase 1 uses harmonic synthesis to provide a system configuration which achieves an approximation to a desired dynamic system response. Phase 2 uses results of harmonic synthesis as initial conditions for dynamic system optimization. Optimization techniques compensate for nonlinearities in machine dynamics. Example applications to robot manipulators and to walking machine legs are presented and discussed.

Referring to the Malaysian National Security Council, disaster is defined as a catastrophic situation that claimed many lives and caused extensive damage to property and potentially endangers the public peace and security. In Malaysia, there were few natural disaster events that can be said to be among the worst ever in terms of the number of deaths and damages. However, these occurrences were not as severe as overseas. At the end of December 2014, there was a catastrophic flood called as the 'Bah Kuning' was hitting the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It resulted in almost 85% of the total Kuala Krai area inundated by flood water. One of the elements in post-disaster recovery is rebuilding shelter for victims. Regardless, it is important to research on residents’ satisfaction as it will affect the well-being directly or indirectly. Thus, a study was carried out to evaluate the satisfaction of residents (victims) on the “New Permanent Houses” (Rumah Kekal Baharu, RKB) that they received from the redevelopment project. A questionnaire survey was carried out to collect and understand respondents’ satisfaction on the redevelopment of their housing area, in specific, the quality of their newly reconstructed houses and the supporting facilities or infrastructure in their area. From the analysis, it was found that majority of the respondents were satisfied with their newly redeveloped houses and the infrastructure. The satisfaction level was associated with the locational and land ownership factors.

Abstract Databases provide an efficient way to store, retrieve and analyze data. Oracle relational database is one of the most popular database management systems that is widely used in a different variety of industries and businesses. Therefore, it is important to guarantee that the database access and data manipulation is optimized for reducing database system response time. This paper intends to analyze the performance and the main optimization techniques (Forall, Returning, and Bulk Collect) that can be adopted for Oracle Relational Databases. The results have shown that the adoption of Forall and Bulk Collect approaches bring significant benefits in terms of execution time. Furthermore, the growth rate of the average execution time is lower for Bulk Collect than Forall. However, adoption of Returning approach doesn’t bring significant statistical benefits.
