This study aims to apply the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to control electronic devices and monitor the electrical power usage remotely via the Internet. The system was implemented using Wemos D1, ACS712 current sensor, relay, and the Blynk application as the system interface on the smartphone. The system used an average of 0.4-3.3 seconds to respond to commands from the Blynk application via a Wifi connection at a distance of 50-1000 meters and the device control and power monitoring system can function properly. The system response time was not affected by distance. This system with Wifi access can be an alternative to control devices and monitor their power usage in addition to a longer time of SMS access and shorter range of Bluetooth.

All work and human needs are highly dependent on the presence of electrical energy, especially on household needs. Human negligence in using electrical energy will cause waste in the use of electrical energy which causes soaring payments among households. This study aims to examine the application of monitoring the electrical power used in the connection of these devices remotely via the internet. The system can be implemented using NodeMCU ESP8266, PZEM-004T sensor, Liquid Crystall I2C, and the Blynk application as a user interface system on a smartphone. To be able to monitor through the Blynk application, the user must be connected to the internet and the microcontroller must be connected to the internet network. This system using the internet network will make it easier to monitor electrical power in electronic devices at home every day. The results of this study are the prototype of the electrical power monitoring system using the Blynk application can help and facilitate homeowners in monitoring electrical power when the homeowner is not at home.

Less ideal chicken coop condition is one reason for the low productivity of chickens in Indonesia. Based on this condition, breeders need monitoring and control devices that can be used easily anywhere and anytime. In this study, the monitoring and control devices based on the Internet of Things (IoT) were successfully designed using the ESP8266 microcontroller. The monitoring system used a DHT11 temperature sensor while the controller used a bulb and fan as the actuator. Monitoring data and control commands were displayed via Telegram. Coop testing was carried out with three different treatments-the light was on, the fan was on, and both were on-resulting in temperature and humidity measurement data ranging from 24–32 ºC and 61–78%, respectively. Therefore, this monitoring and control device can prevent the conditions of the chicken coop that are ideal less so that chickens' productivity increases.

In order to develop a valid wireless Internet of things system, a wireless Internet of things framework based on mobile Internet is designed. The architecture of the Internet of things determines the architecture of the Internet of things business platform. There is no uniform standard for the architecture of the Internet of things service platform. The Internet of things business platform is mostly in an isolated state. The platform uses the common information management platform of Internet websites to manage mobile internet. Combined with the technologies of perception, identification and network transmission in the Internet of things technology, it is a content management Web management information system with both B/S (Browser/Server) and C/S structure (Client/Server). The platform can operate anywhere, and can give full play to the processing capacity of the client PC, and greatly reduce the application server running data load. The experimental results show that compared with the centralized database system, in the same piece of redundant condition, when the test table data is greater than the 1 million and the concurrent number is 100, the distributed database system has shorter concurrent query time and faster system response rate. Based on the above finding, it is concluded that wireless Internet of things technology based on mobile Internet will promote the development of the whole logistics industry and other related industries.

AbstractToday, more than ever, our society has become obsessed with technology and people surround themselves with smart devices designed to improve their lifestyle. Communications have benefited of this rise of the gadgets the most, and reality shows that most adults in the urban environment own a smartphone with the help of which they can connect to the Internet. We would be tempted to state that the World Wide Web will change in the future into Human World Wide Web, but connecting to the Internet does not stop here. Vehicles, TV sets and other electronic devices or appliances have already started to be connected to the Internet, which makes it easier to believe that, in the future, we will live in a society where most devices around us will be interconnected to a global or even spatial network. This concept, which the academic world embraced as the Internet of Things, should be understood and accepted by society not only from the perspective of the deprivation of privacy it generates, but especially from the perspective of the insecurity, a possible result of this dependence on software and programs that can be remotely accessed and controlled.

The Internet of Things connects various electronic devices and these can range from the expensive, such as cars or computers, to the mundane, such as toasters or light bulbs and this creates a major security problem. While attention is paid to the complex expensive items, the inexpensive items, although connected to the same network, are often overlooked. With a desperate race to produce more for less and to connect more items to the network, these inexpensive items are overlooked, never updated and in many cases, are downright dangerous when connected to a network and this makes the Internet insecure for everyone else.
