Silicone rubber is a polymer with the chain molecule structure of Si-O bond [1]. At the environment of 1970 m elevation, the power frequency withstand voltage and condensation experiments will be tested by using two silicone rubber tubes with length of 300mm and 330mm, which lasts one minute, under 85kV. In the high potential test, the silicone rubber tube does not appear the flashover when the surface of tubes weren’t polluted. However, the test voltage increases to 70kV and the surface of the silicone rubber tube will appear flashover, when the tubes are plated in the condensation conditions. The high potential experiments indicate that the electrical insulation property of silicone rubber tube is seriously debated in the humidity environment.

Insulating properties of package for ultrahigh-voltage, high-temperature devices have been investigated. While all the packages have enough insulating strength at room temperature, deterioration of the insulating property at high temperature has been found with some packages. The authors have found that this deterioration is attributed to degrade the insulation property of AlN ceramics for DBC substrate at high temperature and that there is a various degree in the deterioration.

Characteristics of silica optical material largely depend on its thermal history. In this paper, formation of thermally induced defects in silica optical material is studied. The formation process of defect is analyzed in detail. The results show that there is an obvious difference in defect formation induced by heating treatment when the composition of silica optical material changes. Defect formation mainly displays as the produce process when the initial defects of the silica material are zero. However, defect formation expresses as the produce and annealing process when the initial defects of the silica material are not zero. The initial defect concentration can be decreased significantly when the silica material is heated in high temperature. At the same time, the new defect is also produced. These theoretic results are consistent with the previous experimental ones.

The good DC magnetic properties can be achieved for 1J50 soft magnetic alloy by applying high temperature hydrogen annealing. Annealing process parameters, e.g., atmosphere, soaking temperature, and time, are critical to soft magnetic properties. Qualitative results had been done for years. However a quantitative research among process parameters, microstructure, and magnetic properties can be more comprehensive and specific. In this study, a serial of experiments for 1J50 samples under the Chinese national standards. The influence of annealing temperature and socking time on DC magnetic properties and microstructure of the samples has been investigated on DC magnetic properties and microstructure of samples. The result shows that annealing process parameters have a nonlinear effect on the development of material microstructure and magnetic properties. Furthermore, the models among magnetic property, grain size, and process parameters have been built to quantitatively describe the interrelationship in between.
