The present study aims at examining the extent, to which personality traits, goal orientations, academic self-efficacy belief and self-esteem explain the academic procrastination behaviors of university students within the framework of a mode. To this end, a model was created and a model test was performed in order to determine the direct and indirect effects of the research variables within the compass of a cause and effect relationship. In the present research in which a causative comparative pattern was used, the research group consists of 630 university students in total from different grades, 406 of whom are female and 224 of whom are male. In the data collection phase of the present research," Aitken Academic Procrastination Scale", "Adjective Based Personality Test", "Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale", "Achievement Goals Scale", "Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale" and "Academic Self Efficacy Scale" were used. It was found that the academic procrastination behaviors of university students are directly and indirectly related to personality traits, success orientation, academic self efficacy belief and self esteem within the framework of a cause and effect relationship

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the use of Facebook and self-esteem among Turkish university students. Research data were obtained by surveying the undergraduate students in the Business Administration and Economics Departments of Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, in the academic year of 2013-2014. A questionnaire, including Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, was used to collect the data. According to the results of the study, self-esteem of Turkish university students does not have significant association with Facebook use. It was found that there was no statistically significant difference between self-esteem of those who use and those do not use Facebook. In addition, there was also no relationship found between characteristics of Facebook use and self-esteem among Facebook users either.

IntroductionSocial networks allow individuals to express themselves, and establish or maintain connections with others. Using social networks like Facebook may be associated with a sense of self-worth and may play an important role in psychological development of university students who are in emerging adulthood phase.Objective(1)Assess the psychological well-being of Saudi university students using social networks (Facebook).(2)Explore whether the relationship between Facebook use and bridging social capital is different for individuals with varying degrees of self-esteem and satisfaction with life.AimTo study the psychological well-being of Saudi university students using social networks (Facebook).MethodAn electronic survey was published in the community site for all students of King Saud University. in addition to the demographic information, the survey evaluates Facebook use intensity, bridging social capital and psychological well-being: self-esteem and satisfaction with life.ResultsA total of 1005 students completed the survey, of which 50.5% were female. Majority of them were members in Facebook (92.1%).ConclusionsResults showed no significant correlation between the use of Facebook and psychological well-being. It could be due to the fundamental difference between Arabs and other cultures or due to the use of other social networks. There was a positive relationship between bridging social capital and psychological well-being with being in preparatory year, which is most likely because advanced years has more workload preventing students from participating in King Saud University community.
