The definition of heavyweight high-strength concrete（HHC for short）is firstly introduced. According to the characteristic targets of a HHC, suitable experimental material and project are chosen. Via analyzing and commenting on various properties of different minerals such as silica powder and fly ash, a feasibility study for mixed them into concrete to manufacture HHC is conducted, and its mechanics properties and Alkali-resistant property are tested. On the basis of them, HHC whose strength is C60 and apparent density is 2800 kg/m3 is successfully manufactured. The optimum proportion is given out.

4 steel bar reinforced high-strength concrete column specimens were tested under axial compression in order to study how different height width ratios, different stirrup ratios and different steel bar reinforcement ratios influence the failure mode of the members and the bearing capacity. Results show that the steel bar reinforced high-strength concrete columns are applicable to practical engineering.

Grinding Time

The effect of grinding time on the properties of low-temperature rice husk ash was experimentally studied, and the feasibility of using rice husk ash instead of silica fume to prepare concrete was studied by comparison with silica fume. The results showed that the best grinding time of rice husk ash is 50 minutes, the concrete with similar properties can be prepared by replacing silica fume with super-fine rice husk ash, and the same enhancement effect can be achieved when replacing silica fume with more than 5%, and the performance was consistent.
