Community Service Activities (PKM) have been carried out regarding the management of chemical education laboratories in the form of training. The training was given to teachers of Blitar Regency MGMP members. The training activities aimed to increase teachers' knowledge about the management and management of the Chemistry Education Laboratory. The implementation method started from preparation and planning, implementation and evaluation. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' understanding of the management of chemical laboratory. Training activities can be carried out well, and receive positive responses from participants. As many as 67% of participants sent a report on the implementation of laboratory management tasks as a post test in their respective schools. Related to the implementation of the evaluation of the training showed a positive response as indicated by the dominant percentage in the positive (very good and good) total answer statements between 70-90%. Judging from its total usefulness, 89% stated that training activities were very useful and beneficial.

Abstract                This PKM is conducted at SMA Negeri I Kupang, which is located at JLN. Cak Doko, No. 59, Oetete Village, Oebobo District, Kupang City, NTT Province.                The output in this PKM is a well-organized chemical laboratory, producing types of laboratory administration, analyzing the increase in teacher knowledge and skills regarding laboratory administration and governance.                The result of this PKM activity was an increase in the value of the ability of teachers in laboratory management and administration which had an impact on the conditions of the chemistry laboratory at SMAN 1 Kupang on 5 governance indicators indicated by N-Gain values and criteria consecutively as follows, planning indicator 0, 62 (moderate), organizing indicator 0.33 (moderate), administration indicator 0.78 (high), laboratory instrument arrangement indicator 1 (high), laboratory material structuring indicator 0.93 (high), and safety indicator 0.67 ( moderate). Thus it can be concluded that this PKM activity can improve teachers' knowledge and skills regarding laboratory governance.

An understanding of laboratory management is highly important to be owned by parties related to the laboratory, both directly and indirectly. Laboratories must be managed and utilized properly, because chemical laboratories are one type of laboratory that is considered quite dangerous in the context of carrying out education, research, and / or community service. This study aims to describe the management of a chemical laboratory using qualitative descriptive research methods. Research subjects were the principal, vice chairman of the curriculum, chair of the laboratory, and teachers in the field of chemistry studies. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research are: 1) Planning of chemical laboratory work program has been prepared and standardized by the head of the laboratory, 2) Organizing the laboratory structurally already exists, 3) Organizing by the principal involving all those involved in laboratory management, 4) The implementation of the program is suitable with the plan of the work program, 5) Supervision and evaluation of the principal must still be carried out intensively. In other words, laboratory management at SMA 55 Jakarta has been well organized.

This commentary foregrounds the need to examine how the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and associated conditions may be affecting the lives of people living with HIV (PLWH) in a developing country context like Pakistan. It raises some important questions on medical care and updated information regarding PLWH in the time of COVID-19. Since PLWH are at an increased risk of developing comorbid conditions – something that makes them more vulnerable to COVID-19 – it is critical that timely research and evidence-based actions are undertaken to protect their health.
