The aim of the article is to compare the operational availability of the city buses. Two popular makes of buses were analysed in the function of time of use, during the six years of operation, in the Municipal Transport Company (MPK) in Lublin. A new division of operating time for the period of full operational usefulness and period of limited operational usefulness of vehicles was presented. It was shown that the average operational availability of the analysed buses differed significantly due to the vehicle's make and also due to the service life. The ANOVA analysis method was used to assess the significance of differences.

Abstract The increasing number of people in Indonesia, one of which is the city of Semarang, has led to increased community activities. Increased community activities will affect the increase in the amount of waste production. It will also impact the service life of the landfill, so efforts need to be made to extend the service life of the landfill. Efforts can be made to reduce the amount of waste that goes to the landfill, usually by sorting organic and inorganic waste. Reducing the amount of waste can also be done by utilizing waste that has been buried in the landfill (TPA), then processed into alternative fuels or RDF (Refused Derived Fuel). Waste reduction by sorting organic and inorganic waste has been carried out in several places, namely Putri Cempo TPA, Milangsari, and Sukoharjo, with percentage reductions of 79.6%, 35%, and 58%. Meanwhile, the use of waste into fuel or RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) can also be used as an effort to extend the service life of the landfill because waste that has been buried for a long time has a high calorific value so that it meets the requirements as fuel for the pyrolysis process.

Abstract. The calculation of the amount of bricks used in the area of falling-off is of great significance to the restoration of the ruins of ancient cities In order to support the digital restoration of the city wall of Puzhou Ancient City Site, this paper analyzed and calculated the amount of outer cladding brick of the city wall based on SLAM data. Firstly, the point cloud data of Puzhou city wall is obtained by SLAM technology. Secondly, the original point cloud is processed by Geomagic Studio software, and the area of the damaged area is accurately measured from the packaging model. Finally, based on the characteristics of brick masonry of ancient city walls, this paper estimates the amount of brick used in the area where the external wall of drum tower falls off, thus providing data support for the repair and maintenance of Puzhou ancient city.

The current situation on the territory of Russian transport parks is considered, where the preference is given to the modernization of the existing rolling stock over the purchase of new transport. The analysis of modernization is carried out, the main stages and advantages of the improvement of tram cars are shown on the example of tram facilities in St. Petersburg and Izhevsk. A number of trends that have developed in modern market conditions are noted. The use of one of the oldest modes of transport — the tram — has proven its profitability, high carrying capacity, the ability to achieve high speeds, and the introduction of the latest technologies to reduce noise and vibration increases not only aesthetic appeal for urban residents, but also reduces the impact on environmental systems. It has been established that overhaul and refurbishment with complete modernization can extend the service life of the tram up to 15 years."Launching" a tram line on a concession basis in a small town can become an effective anti-crisis tool with an appropriate feasibility study and organizational issues. The tram as a public transport is more profitable for the city, since the lane allocated for it is more efficiently used, because a tram in a 2-3-car coupling carries more people than a trolleybus. Renewal of the tram fleet through modernization is a current trend.

In recent years, with the continuous development of society, people's awareness of energy conservation has also been enhanced. Among them, building energy consumption occupies a very large proportion in all their energy consumption. Therefore, people have taken various measures to reduce the energy consumption of building its own. External wall thermal insulation is a new building energy saving technology. Through verification, application of external wall insulation technology in building energy saving greatly reduces the energy consumption of buildings. This paper mainly introduced on the city building external wall thermal insulation technology and some related measures.

Architectural concrete surfaces are a durable solution, but their deterioration process is unavoidable and begins as soon as the element is built. This study establishes a methodology for predicting the service life of architectural concrete surfaces, through the application of the factor method. For this purpose, 239 architectural concrete surfaces in in-service conditions are analysed. Different durability factors are studied and their impact in the service life of architectural concrete surfaces is evaluated. Different scenarios are analysed for the quantification of the durability factors. Scenario 4 presents the best results, leading to a higher similarity between the estimated service lives predicted by the factor method and obtained by the graphical method. The application of the factor method, as described in this study, allows one to predict the service life of architectural concrete surfaces. An estimated service life ranging between 43 and 48 years was obtained, which agrees with the literature and empirical knowledge.
