The structures of the ions formed by several alkyl pyrroles in hydrochloric acid are deduced from proton resonance spectra. Basicity values for three alkyl pyrroles are determined from ultraviolet spectra of their salts in buffer solutions. An attempt is made to estimate the basicity of other pyrroles from the variation of the—OD stretching frequency of methanol-d in solution in the pyrroles. Variations of the free and bonded NH frequencies of alkyl pyrroles are shown to be a simple function of the positions and number of the substituents.

The coatings composed of colloidal silica, methyltrimethoxy silane (MTMS), water, and acid catalysts have been prepared with variation of colloidal silica contents from 0 to 20 %. All the coatings were prepared and coated on the aluminum plate under the same condition except the contents of colloidal silica, and the compensating contents of MTMS and water with fixed molar ratio of MTMS and water to be 3. The physical properties were compared in terms of hardness, adhesion strength, corrosion, wear resistance, and thermo gravimetry analysis, etc. The pencil hardness was drastically increased with the addition of 5% colloidal silica particles and was further increased slightly by increase of additional silica. The corrosion resistance of the coating film against alkali solution was improved by increasing colloidal silica content, however, the acid resistance was less affected by the content of colloidal silica.

This paper presents a detailed experimental investigation of the acid resistance of economical self-compacting concrete (SCC) prepared with natural pozzolan, immersed for up to 12 weeks in sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and hydrochloric acid (HCl) solutions. The results are compared with those from a control concrete and other SCCs prepared with fly ash and limestone filler. The different factors considered in this study were the effect of mineral admixture type and the strength classes (30, 50, and 70 MPa) of the concrete specimens. In total, 12 formulations were tested. Mass and compressive strength losses are the main properties investigated. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses were used to better understand the kinetics of deterioration of each type of concrete. The results show the positive influence of natural pozzolan on the behaviour of SCC under both sulphuric and hydrochloric acid mediums.

Acid receiving treats indicators of specific activity of probiotics on a basis lakto-and bifidobacteria. The carbonic acids produced by them play an essential role in formation and functioning of an intestinal microbiota of a macroorganism. Acid receiving is the cultural property characterizing biochemical and substantially defining antagonistic activity of cages of production strains. The ability of bacteria to form and emit organic acids to the external environment affects their sensitivity to hydrochloric acid. It is established that more expressed activity of a kislotoobrazovaniye increases resistance of pro-biotic culture to bactericidal effect of gastric juice. Level of stability defines technological approaches to ensuring protection of cellular probiotics, including specifics of dosage forms.
