Aims: The pollution of the environment by organic dyes in water is a matter of great concern. Wastewater containing dyes is difficult to treat by conventional wastewater treatment methods such as coagulation, ozonation, biological treatment, etc. This is why the implementation of an effective method by not generating pollutants secondary is necessary. The objective of this work is to study the degradation of remazol black, an azo dye, by the coupling of hydrogen peroxide - molybdenum oxide nanoparticle. The nanoparticles were synthesized by the aqueous sol-gel method using a reflux assembly. Study Design: Random design. Methodology: The nanoparticles were synthesized by the aqueous sol-gel method using a reflux assembly and then characterized by X-ray diffraction and using software origin to determine the particles size by Scherrer's formula. The influence of hydrogen peroxide, molybdenum oxide and hydrogen peroxide / molybdenum oxide coupling, and the degradation kinetics of remazol black were studied. We also studied the influence of the pH of the solution, the mass of molybdenum nanoparticles and the concentration of remazol black on the dye degradation process. Results: The results showed that the synthesized oxide is ammonium molybdenum trioxide NH3(MoO3)3) with a hexagonal structure and size 22.79 nm. The study of the catalytic effect revealed a degradation rate of 17%, 0.83% and 42% respectively for H2O2, NH3(MoO3)3 and the coupling NH3(MoO3)3/H2O2. The study also showed that the degradation of remazol black by the couple NH3(MoO3)3 /H2O2 is better at pH = 4 and for a mass of nanoparticles of 400 mg. This degradation kinetics are pseudo 1st order. In addition, the degradation rate decreases when the concentration of remazol black increases. The efficiency of the coupling (NH3(MoO3)3 / H2O2 showed at ambient temperature, that it was possible to remove about 60% of the initial color of remazol black from the water in a batch reaction. Conclusion: The reflux method makes it possible to synthesize molybdenum nanoparticles. The molybdenum oxide hetero-Fenton process is effective in removing remazol black dye from water.

The most promising catalysts for the catalytic decomposition of methane are nickel-containing systems, since nickel has high activity, thermal stability, thermal conductivity, and relatively low cost. In this work, catalysts were prepared by the heterophase sol-gel method and investigated using catalytic equipment. The catalysts showed high stability and lifetime during the catalytic decomposition of methane at temperatures ranging from 535 to 675°C.

Fluorapatite (FA) can be used as a bioactive substance in the body, especially the teeth implants. The FA nanoparticle was synthesized by adding the fluorine to the structure of HA using sol–gel method and the heat treatment of 700 °C. Being low costs, eco-friendly and safer features are obvious advantages of the green synthesis of FA nanoparticles by using bio stabilizer of sodium alginate. Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate, diammonium phosphate, ammonium fluoride were used as precursors of Ca, P and F respectively with the ratio of 1:67 Ca/P. The presence of crystal structure of HA and FA investigated by the results of XRD which confirmed the substitution of hydroxyl groups with the fluorine in the crystal structure of apatite. FTIR obtained that fluorine was substituted by hydroxyl groups in the structure of fluoridated hydroxyapatite by disappearing the hydroxyl groups at 3600 cm-1 in the FA. TGA investigated the thermal stability of the nanoparticles that showed the discrepancy of weight loss for HA and FA between 600?C to 800?C. By using TEM, average sizes of 35 and 49 nm were determined for HA and FA respectively. FESEM results confirmed the shapes and distribution of particles of HA and FA in that, round like for the former and rode like for the later. The overall performance of utilizing sodium alginate (SA) as a bio-stabilizer is to obtain better precipitate which leads to having better crystallinity and smaller particle size and thermal stability remarkably improved.

Sol-gel method is the simplest method and has to preparation of nano particles, nano fibers, and nano flaks. The preparation of hybrid epoxy thermosets enables their improvement in characteristics such as mechanical properties (bending, and hardness), thermal properties. The effect of water absorption on bending and hardness test for tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) and epoxy hybrid have been investigated. TEOS with (0%,2%,4%,6%and 8%) volume per-centage mixed with epoxy to prepared sheets of hybrid, these sheets cut as samples for ASTM water absorption, bending and hardness tests. The results show that, adding TEOS to epoxy will increase absorbance of water. bending test shows that there are increase in values of bending stress with increasing TEOS but after im-mersion in water all the values for bending stress will reduce. Hardnessvalues at least for the samples immersion in water from dry samples, occur the diffusion of molecules water in the polymer and hybrids leads to space molecular chains for each other and decrease the hard-ness values. Thermal stability of hybrids increase with increasing TE
