The environmental impact of the LLC «EVO» company in Voronezh was assessed and the process of processing mercury-containing waste was analyzed. The characteristics of storage devices for storage and storage of industrial waste are considered. Comprehensive environmental protection measures aimed at reducing the negative impact of mercury-containing wastes that emit mercury vapor on air and water are proposed.

This paper studies the integrated waste management in Mehedinti county. Integrated waste management requires employing several waste control and disposal methods such as source reduction, recycling, re-use, incineration, and land filling, to minimize the environmental impact of commercial and industrial waste streams. Although integrated waste management is designed as a large-scale system, there are things you as an individual can do to support the system.

Extractive industry has had and has negative effects on environmental factors. Limitation of industrial activities carried out in Jiu Valley, materialized by closure of mining units, brings to actuality the rehabilitation of areas occupied by constructions and surface utilities related to the technological process of underground coal extraction. First stage of surface rehabilitation and greening is the demolition of surface buildings by means of technical implosion / blasting or classic techniques. This stage generates a series of physicochemical pollutants that can have a significant impact on environmental factors. The main objective of the current paper is to identify pollutants and the negative effects they may have on human health as well as to reduce the environmental impact of materials from demolition operations. The paper has the advantage of quantifying waste resulting from demolitions in order to reduce impact on the environment by revalorizing the obtained materials (metal, concrete, wood, brick etc.) thus reducing the quantities of industrial waste to be stored. Thus, it is possible to plan the greening of areas affected by mining activities in the shortest possible time, correlated with the program of territorial systematization, in order to capitalize on new economic opportunities for use of these lands.

Abstract Any material when utilized for a required period of time and segment, the leftover residues of those materials are known as waste. Enormous waste is generated during such wear and tear process of materials depending on the usage and functions in a routine lifestyle. Those generated waste when overloaded beyond the capacity of natural recycling processes, would influence the environment and human health. Hence, the waste generated from used materials should be managed according to the environmental impact. Even though wastes are also sometimes rich in organic compounds, nutrients, and energy resources, they are not experimented and managed appropriately. Recently, different feasible techniques are invented and followed to recover and reuse the efficient resources that can create and support sustainable livelihood by creating green economy effects by reducing waste. In this chapter, the emphasis has been given to providing an overview of recent advancements on bio-based waste management and product recoveries such as microbes mediated approaches, biorefineries for waste valorization, and bioenergy from industrial waste.

Waste management is one of the major problems facing Romania in terms of environmental protection. This refers to the activities of collection, transport, treatment, recovery and disposal (Apostol, T., 1999). Waste from cities and towns and rural areas are most frequently discharged into the nearest landfill or illegally dumped in remote locations. Due to lack of facilities and poor operation, waste landfills are among the recognized risk generators on environmental impact and public health. The main types of impact and risk caused by urban and industrial waste landfills perceived by the population are: pollution of surface waters; air pollution, visual, changes in the composition of soil fertility and adjoining biocoenoses. In this paper we present a study case regarding the forecasting of air pollution in an ecological landfill for urban waste.
