The research aim was to develop a model for determining rational micro and macro‐level factors for the construction industry in Lithuania by undertaking a complex analysis of environment affecting it and to give recommendations on the increase of its competitive ability. In modelling and forecasting future perspectives and the main development trends of the Lithuanian construction industry, it is possible to be prepared for effective changes in environment. The analysis of construction industry in developed countries and Lithuania can allow identify areas where the situation in Lithuania is comparable, partly comparable with or quite different from the level attained by the above foreign countries. The data of this analysis can be used in identifying construction industry development trends in developed countries as well as providing some recommendations for Lithuania. Proposed model would be designed to give insights into the factors which affect the construction and which require effective management. In order to demonstrate the application of the above research to developing rational model of Lithuanian construction industry some recommendations for improving situation in Lithuanian construction are presented.

The article proposes a method for assessing trends in industrial development in Uzbekistan. The least-squares method of the regression model was used to estimate industry development trends. Development trends are assessed based on the index of change in the final and theoretical values of industrial production.

The growth prospects for coal production in Russia are not so clearly evident as it may seem. Today there is a wide range of alternative avenues of advancement for the coal sector, which can be explained by the external and internal challenges critical to the development of the coal industry in Russia. The basic risks potentially capable to cause the most adverse effect on the coal industry performance in the years to come include: the coal market slump in the world; ecological risks; risks due to sanctions imposed by the USA and European Union to restrict import of new technologies and attraction of financial assets; social risks. Aiming to evaluate the impact of these risks on the coal industry performance in the coming years, four look-ahead scenarios are developed: baseline, hazardous (baseline), moderate, and hazardous (moderate). The moderate scenario is found to be more innovative than the baseline scenario. The highest rate of introduction of technological innovations is representative of the technologies with lower level of the predicted output of coal. This study has been partly supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research in the framework of R&D Project No. 18-010-00467 Development of Economic Indicators and Production Data for the Coal Industry Development in Russia up to 2035 with the Changing Vector of Global Technological Innovation due to Implementation of Industry 4.0 Program.

A museum cluster is a phenomenon that did not acquire conceptual understanding until the late 1990s. Since then, numerous approaches to defining a museum cluster have been put to the test. It has been unanimously stated that a museum cluster is an environment-creating and culture-forming entity, which catches the spirit of the time/place and embodies the locus genii. The museum, thus, renews and strengthens itself in the urban, scientific and cultural thought. These apply well to Krasnaya Gorka, a museum cluster in Kemerovskaya oblast. Combining all ‘cluster’ characteristics, Krasnaya Gorka features very specific, historically and culturally valuable trends eventually transforming the urban environment and forming local traditions. The study is aimed at comprehensive research of a museum cluster contribution to the local culture, environment, science, economy and, most importantly, people. The study showed that: (1) the Krasnaya Gorka museum is justifiably the heart of a cluster; (2) the archival materials in city museums are valuable as integral historic documents in their own right, but more significant when regarded along with other papers and artefacts in the domain of the museums, forming the cluster; c) the Krasnaya Gorka museum is a culture-forming entity due to its aggregating people and organizing activities.
