AbstractA rare case of invasive aspergillosis of the paranasal sinuses in a previously healthy individual is presented. The disease caused severe complications and proved fatal. Classification, aetiology and presentation of sinus aspergillosis are discussed. Early diagnosis and management is stressed to avoid the high incidence of morbidity and mortality.

Abstract.Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM) is the rupture of amniotic sac prior to the onset of labor beyond 37 week of gestation. Premature Rupture of Membranes occurs in 1% ofall pregnancies. Premature Rupture of Membranes causes 1/3 preterm delivery and a major  18%-20% cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality. In this case report we reported a 35 year old woman with pregnant 3rd child, aterm wiht Premateur rupture of Membrane (PROM) and prior to labor. This report aims to improve the quality of early diagnosis and management of premature rupture of membranes to reduce the risk for the mother and fetus.

Occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis with leprosy is known but association of cutaneous tuberculosis with leprosy is rare. We report a case of borderline lepromatous leprosy coexistent with tuberculosis verrucosa cutis in a 29-year-old male, who presented with multiple skin coloured nodules and hyperkeratotic scaly lesions of 3-month duration. Dual infections are associated with high mortality and morbidity. Therefore early diagnosis and management helps to reduce mortality and to mitigate the effects of morbidity.

Appendicitis is one of the commonest causes of abdominal pain requiring surgery. Early diagnosis and management are essential to reduce morbidity and mortality. Imaging is valuable in the diagnosis of cases that are clinically atypical. Imaging also allows evaluation of the complications of appendicitis. In certain circumstances, conservative treatment of complicated appendicitis with percutaneous drainage is appropriate.

Background: Preeclampsia constitutes a serious problem with high incidence that faces the workers in the field of obstetrics and needs good diagnosis and management and must not be neglected as maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality are so dangerous. Aim of the work: To different Regimens Of Magnesium Sulfate And It's Role In Management Of Women With Severe Pre-Eclampsia Patients and methods: A randomized controlled study that compared three regimens for administration of MgSO4 used for the cases of severe pre-eclampsia that was performed in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, Agouza police Hospital during the period from decemeber 2018 to the end of August 2019 Results: 240 patients were recruited for our study based on their presentation which was severe preeclampsia. Mean age of patients was; 26.65 years, SD 5.113 (range;16-42). Mean gestational age was; 35.75 weeks, SD 2.769 (range;28-40). Mean systolic BP was; 161.88mmHg, SD 17.121 (range;100-210). Mean diastolic BP was; 103.15, SD 12.127 (range;50-120). Conclusion: The use of loading dose only of MgSO4 in the ante-partum period with no post partum maintenance doses. If complications occurred, we recommend the abbreviated regimen as an alternative to the standard regimen.

Two cases of Aspergillosis in immunocompromised children are reported. Both were caused by Aspergillns flavus. Early diagnosis and treatment led to the remission of the process. One patient had acute myeloid leukemia; the fungus was isolated from the blood. The other patient with bone marrow aplasia, presented an invasive aspergillosis of the paranasal sinuses with dissemination of fungal infection; the diagnosis was obtained by histology and culture of biopsied tissue from a palatal ulceration.

Caesarean scar ectopic is a rare form of ectopic whose incidence has been on rise recently due to increase in incidence of caesarean section. In 1972 the first report of scar ectopic was reported in medical literature. It is a type of abnormal implantation in a scarred uterus following surgery most commonly caesarean section. Early diagnosis and management is the key to prevent morbidity and mortality. Here we present a case of gravida 3 para 2 with previous 2 LSCS with ruptured caesarean scar ectopic with massive haemorrhage. Timely resuscitation and laparotomy helped prevent morbidity and mortality in this patient.

Children with recurrent or persistent pneumonia often have underlying chronic cardiopulmonary disease, but few reports on this subject have been published. Children with isolated common cardiac diseases, uncomplicated bronchial asthma or with incomplete records were excluded. Of 4361 children followed during a five-year period, 107 were included in our study. Underlying causes were identified in 99.0%: immunodeficiency disorders (20.2%), cardiothoracic malformations (18.3%), syndromic conditions (14.4%), infections (10.6%) bronchiectasis (10.6%), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (6.6%), interstitial lung disease (3.8%) and other miscellaneous conditions (15.4%). Thus, children with recurrent or persistent pneumonia should be carefully evaluated for an underlying aetiology, as early diagnosis and appropriate management will decrease morbidity and mortality in most of these children.
