This paper summarizes the results of Phase 3 of the Arctic Tanker Risk Analysis Project (ATRA) which provided a prototype Tanker Navigation Safety System (TNSS). TNSS is a ship-board risk management system capable of route planning and decision support based upon a knowledge database. The objective of the project was to provide timely risk assessment information to a mariner or decision-maker in a system capable of integration with existing ECDIS or shipboard PC systems. The historical information was to include: accident location, frequency and type, ice, wind, visibility, environmental sensitivity and other factors. The specifications of the TNSS prototype were expanded so that risk could be assessed for each track in a route plan by applying a predictive accident model patterned after the navigation and collision avoidance process.

The study reveals features of the risk management in the payment system, taking into account the requirements of the Bank of Russia. Particular emphasis is placed on the implementation of practical aspects of organizing risk management systems in conformity with Bank of Russia Regulation No. 607-P dated 03.10.2017 “On requirements for the procedure for ensuring the smooth functioning of the payment system, indicators of the smooth functioning of the payment system and methods of risk analysis in the payment system including risk profiles”. The research uses international standards and approaches to the practical construction of risk management systems. The research suggests methodological recommendations for the construction of a comprehensive risk management system in the payment system. The results of the study can be used in the practical implementation of the Bank of Russia’s approaches to ensuring the smooth functioning of payment systems.

In order to timely identify threats and risks to energy security and promptly respond to them and the dynamics of their change, the Energy Security Doctrine provides for the formation of a risk management system. The significant heterogeneity of the regions of the Russian Federation, including with a special specificity of the territories of the North and the Arctic zones and the predominance of decentralized energy supply in them, justifies the need for the formation of a regional segment of the assessment that provides for and takes into account these differences in detailing the sphere and the monitoring process itself. The paper presents proposals on the formation of the structure of a separate module of the regional segment for assessing the energy security of isolated areas, separate research modules and indicators for assessing decentralized power supply systems from the standpoint of ensuring energy security. One of the approaches to the formation of the structure of a single information space of the regional segment of the risk management system is proposed.

The article reflects the results of a study of the Russian banking sector on the subject of prevention and protection of credit institutions from risks, a separate place is given to risk management and risk assessment of a regional commercial bank. The main characteristics of the activities of a commercial bank are presented, a study of its risk management system is carried out and the main directions of its improvement are high-lighted. The positive experience of introducing ESG factors into the business model is considered to increase the efficiency of risks and obtain strategic advantages. ESG banking is an effective business model for re-gional banks that expands the number of considered banking risks and the vector of their management.

Deep foundation pit engineer is characterized with high risk, and it is important to have a study on the risk management of deep foundation pit engineering. Risk Measurement, Risk Assessment and Risk Control of Deep Foundation Pit Engineering is very necessary. There is a need to establish a set of operational foundation pit engineering risk management system to comprehensively and accurately identify and measure the risks of deep foundation pit engineering; and conduct risk control on the basis of risk analysis. Using engineering testing technology, establishes a monitoring based deep foundation pit engineering risk management mode.

Abstract This study introduces the NTS network as a new way of analysing, verifying and improving quality-related risk assessment. NTS is based on a network science approach that models complex systems by graphs. By using N, T and S-Graphs as the elements of NTS, risk events that play special role in the risk management system can be identified. Based on their characteristics, the strength of their potential causal connections can be recalculated, providing more precise predictions of the occurrence frequencies of events.
