This study presents the formation of the zinc silicate from amorphous silica obtained from waste rice ash, with the addition of zinc oxide nanoparticles by conventional solid-state technique. The XRD showed the sharp intensive and small peaks while FTIR results indicated very slight variations in their peaks with the increased of samarium dopant concentrations. The FESEM clearly showed the cracks of zinc silicate doped with samarium the samples. The least thermal diffusivity values from 0.2039 to 0.1392 mm2/s acquired by pure zinc silicate (willemite) sintered at 1000°C. The thermal diffusivity was increasing with dopant concentration and decreasing with the rise in temperature (27-500°C). The thermal diffusivity curves revealed the exponential decay with the pores and cracks in the samples.

Abstract The present paper describes the green synthesis of Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) from the flowers of L. nepetifolia. The synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles and examined by using Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Fourier Transform-Infrared spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction analysis, Dynamic Light Scattering analysis, Raman spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Thermogravimetric Analysis. The photocatalytic studies were followed using methylene blue (MB) dye by ZnO nanoparticles by using sunlight as a source. The degradation of MB dye is found to be 90 %. Then the synthesized ZnO nanoparticles help to evaluate the antioxidant activities. The antioxidant activities of ZnO nanoparticles were exhibiting through scavenging of Nitric oxide, Hydrogen peroxide, and DPPH free radicals. Furthermore, the electrochemical analysis of reduced Graphene Oxide-Zinc oxide (rGO-ZnO) nanocomposite shows that the prepared rGO-ZnO nanocomposite has a high specific capacitance of about 667 F g-1 in comparison with the pure Zinc oxide nanoparticles (200 F g-1) and has good cycling stability of around 1000 cycles. The synthesis of multifunctional ZnO nanoparticles by using natural plant products like seeds, leaves, flowers, etc may help to explore as environment-friendly which is opposite to chemical synthesis.

This study which designed to evaluate the inhibitory effect of Ethanolic extract of (Quercusrobur) and Zinc oxide nanoparticles on the growth of one genus of enterobacteriacae (Salmonella). In vitro. For this purpose graduate concentrates for plant extract (50, 100, 200, 400 )mg/ml which prepared and compared with Zinc oxide nanoparticles of different concentration (2, 1, 0.5, 0.25) μg/ml,and examined. The result showed that the studied medicinal plant has antibacterial activity against this bacteria which used. The result showed that the plant has good activity in decrease the growth of this bacteria. The results of the study also showed that the nano-ZnO has very effective antibacterial action against the studied bacteria which was Salmonella, nanoparticles concentrations lead to increasing in the inhibition zones of tested bacterial growth. We also study the effect of three antibiotics Lomefloxacin (LOM), Ciprofloxacin (SIP) and Rifampin (RA) and the result showed,in a comparison within the tested bacteria,Salmonella had a significant inhibition increase in Lomefloxacin ; the ciprofloxacin showed effect on tested bacteria. However,Rifampin does not show any effect on tested bacteria.
