Aim of this letter is to attract the attention of journal readers to the study of exosomes as an important direction in the development of Oncology, in particular, in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. Exosomes are produced by tumor cells and regulate proliferation, metastasis, and the development of chemoresistance. Their extraction from biological fluids allows further use of these vesicles as potential biomarkers of prostate cancer. In the future, exosomes can be successfully used in the delivery of drugs and other anti-tumor substances to cancer cells.

An allergic reaction to mosquitoes can result in severe or abnormal local or systemic reactions such as anaphylaxis, angioedema, and general urticarial or wheezing. The aim of this review is to provide information on mosquito saliva allergens that can support the production of highly specific recombinant saliva allergens. In particular, candidate allergens of mosquitoes that are well suited to the ecology of mosquitoes that occur mainly in East Asia will be identified and introduced. By doing so, the diagnosis and treatment of patients with severe sensitivity to mosquito allergy will be improved by predicting the characteristics of East Asian mosquito allergy, presenting the future direction of production of recombinant allergens, and understanding the difference between East and West.

Predicting the future of medical and psychological treatments is uncertain work at best, and the discussion below will likely cover some “promising” avenues of research that will go nowhere. But clinicians are eager to know what is coming in the near future in terms of diagnosis and treatment and we will present our best estimate of these innovations below. The reader should note in advance that our approach to cognitive impairment is in rapid flux but to depression already pretty solidly established.

The current pandemic has accentuated interest in alternative or adjunctive vision therapy evaluations and therapy. The BVA (Binocular Vision Analysis) Test and the PTS (Perceptual Therapy Suite) Test provide a useful baseline for the HTS/HTS2 and PTS2/PVT2 programs respectively. Computerized testing and therapy can serve as an effective complement to non-computerized testing and therapy procedures. Success in administering remote vision therapy evaluations and interventions through telemedicine platforms bodes well for the future of these technologies.

The otolaryngologist has a multifaceted role on the craniofacial anomalies team. The diagnosis and treatment of hearing disorders, both congenital and acquired; maintenance of communication through adequate speech and hearing; management of the airway and deglutition; and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck are the primary responsibilities to children and adults with craniofacial anomalies. The complete evaluation and treatment of these disorders can be both very challenging and very rewarding.
