The article presents the results of investigates of the effect of ultrafine additives (zirconium diboride, silicon carbide, diamond) on the physical and mechanical properties of composite electrochemical nickel deposits obtained from colloid-electrolyte baths. It was revealed that the most effective nanostructured additives are zirconium diboride and ultrafine diamond. Current efficiency and potentiostatic researches shew mutual participation of finely dispersed nickel hydroxide compounds in the formation of a composite electrochemical deposits and dispersed phase of zirconium diboride or ultrafine diamond that are attendant in the solution or formed during electrolysis and introduced into the electrolyte. It is shown that the optimal values of internal tensions and microhardness are associated with the hardening of the nickel matrix together with various nano-dispersed additives that are included in the deposit. These deposits can be used as an alternative to chrome deposits on parts of machinery.

The article presents the results of investigates of the effect of ultrafine additives - zirconium diboride, silicon carbide, diamond on the physic-mechanical properties of composite electrochemical nickel coatings obtained from colloid-electrolyte baths. It is shown that precipitation containing ultrafine diamond possess optimal values of microhardness, wear resistance and internal stresses. These coatings can be used as an alternative to chrome coatings on parts of agricultural machinery.

The use of carbonate rocks as aggregates for cement concretes and mortars is limited due to their insufficient strength and the threat of corrosion. The use of quarry dust from crushing carbonate rocks are technically and economically feasible in building compositions based on air-hardening lime. The results of the study of the effect of replacing a part of quartz sand in lime mortar by limestone and dolomite fine aggregates on the basic physical and mechanical properties of lime mortars for restoration are presented in the paper. The matrix of planning experiments, which allows increasing the informativity of the research results in order to reduce the number of experiments in the search for optimal values, is proposed. The efficiency of replacement of the quartz sand with quarry dust of carbonate rocks in the production of dry mixes for restoration is shown.

With the same recipe and technological conditions, experimental research on fill factor about rubber compound of all-steel radial tire was conducted in four types of X(S)M-1.7L mixers: intermeshing rotor mixer, variable intermeshing clearance mixer, shearing rotor mixer and variable shearing clearance mixer. Based on the summary and analysis of experiments, the authors discussed the influence of fill factor on performance of internal mixers and physical and mechanical properties of the rubber compound. And the optimal values of fill factor of different types mixer were determined.

The article deals with theoretical and experimental research into dependency of crack resistance of concrete under dynamic effects on coefficients of grain separation of coarse and fine aggregates. It was established that these dependencies were of extreme nature. The research yielded the optimal values of coefficients of grain separation of coarse and fine aggregates, cement particles, and also water-to-cement ratio for the materials under study; these factors provided the best physical and mechanical properties of concrete, including its crack resistance under dynamic effects, both impacts and vibrations..

Timber Acacia mangium (Acacia mangium, Willd) for Furniture. The study aims to determine the mechanical and physical properties and the decorative value (color and fiber) wood of acacia mangium with using finishing materials. This type of finishing material used is ultran lasur natural dof ,ultran lasur classic teak, aqua politur clear dof, aqua politur akasia dan aqua politur cherry. After finishing the wood is stored for 3 months. Test parameters were observed, namely, physical and mechanical properties of wood, adhesion of finishing materials, color and appearance of the fiber, and timber dimensions expansion. The results showed that the mechanical physical properties of acacia wood qualified SNI. 01-0608-89 about the physical and mechanical properties of wood for furniture, air dry the moisture content from 13.78 to 14.89%, flexural strength from 509.25 to 680.50 kg/cm2, and compressive strength parallel to fiber 342.1 - 412.9 kg/cm2. Finishing the treatment process using five types of finishing materials can increase the decorative value (color and fiber) wood. Before finishing the process of acacia mangium wood has the appearance of colors and fibers and less attractive (scale scores 2-3), after finishing acacia wood fibers have the appearance of colors and interesting and very interesting (scale 4-5).Keywords: mangium wood, mechanical properties, decorative value, finishing, furniture.

An investigation on the properties of Tenun Pahang fabric performances using alternative yarns was conducted. The studies were made in order to evaluate whether the Tenun Pahang fabric could be produced economically and at the same time maintain the fabric quality. Traditional Tenun Pahang fabric uses silk for both warp and weft. For this project, two alternative yarns were used which were bamboo and modal, which were a little lower in cost compared to silk. These yarns were woven with two variations, one with the yarns as weft only while maintaining the silk warp and the other with both warp and weft using the alternative yarns. Four (4) physical testings and three (3) mechanical testings conducted on the fabric samples. The fabric samples were evaluated including weight, thickness, thread density, crease recovery angle, stiffness and drapability. The results show that modal/silk and bamboo silk fabrics are comparable in terms of stiffness and drapability, hence they have the potential to replace 100% silk Tenun Pahang.
