The synthesis of a connecting link mechanism with a rotating link with a planetary gear for driving the operating part of a piston pump during transportation of solution mixtures from the preparation site to the construction site is presented. The kinematic diagram of the axial and disaxial connecting link mechanism is given, which allow increasing the pump performance by increasing the length of the piston stroke S by 1.7 ... 3 times more than the serial pumps produced and reducing the load on the pump bearing support.

The timing definition of valve plates is one of the most complex topics in the piston pump designs because it affects many pump characteristics (such as efficiency, swashplate stroking, stabilities, noise, etc.). In the study, the pressure carryover is introduced and defined as the average angular positions to locate piston pressure transitions from the top dead center (TDC) or bottom dead center (BDC) in the piston pump. Pressure carryover presents the overall outcome of the pressure transitions within piston bores. The new pressure carryover definition is derived by the timing angles and other geometrics of valve plates that is an approximation of the practical pressure transitions. The pressure carryover also determines the containment forces and moments on the swashplate produced by the pumping pistons. The relationship between the pressure carryover angle and the containment moment has been developed and analyzed in the study. The amplitudes and frequencies of the forces and moments can be changed by varying the pressure carryover angle that produce different tonalities and control efforts for the swashplate type axial-piston pumps. Therefore, the pressure carryover is the most important and straightforward connection between pump dynamics and valve plate designs. In order to optimize the pump performance, the piston pressure carryover might be investigated thoroughly for the pump and its controller designs.

Most of the prior studies on power-split hybrid electric vehicle's (PS-HEV) design focused on the powertrain configuration optimization. Yet, depicting the selected configuration is highly required for further design steps, ultimately manufacturing. This paper proposes an automatic approach to generate all the feasible kinematic diagrams for a given configuration with a single planetary gear (PG) set. While the powertrain configuration, which is the output of prior studies, illustrates the connection of the powertrain components to the PG, the kinematic diagram is a schematic diagram depicting the connections and arrangements of the components. First, positioning diagrams, specifying the position of the components with respect to each other and to the PG, are used to find all the possible arrangements. Then, given that the positioning diagrams have a one-to-one relationship with the kinematic diagrams, the feasible kinematic diagrams are identified using a set of feasibility rules applicable to the positioning diagrams. Finally, few guidelines are introduced to select good kinematic diagrams that best suit the overall vehicle design. Various configurations were investigated, and three of them including Prius and Voltec first-generation single PG configurations are discussed. The study reveals that the kinematic diagrams that have been patented are only a subset of all the feasible kinematic diagrams, and that even some good kinematic diagrams with better manufacturability are identified using this methodology. Thus, this methodology guarantees the search of the entire design space and the selection of kinematic diagrams that best suit the desired vehicle.

The matter of this article is a stress-strain analysis of hybrid drive prototype unit connected directly to convention Concrete Transit Mixer Gearbox. The unite was developed with intention to do field test on existing convection machines with possibility to use existing interfaces. The hybrid drive unit consists from electric and hydrostatic motor connected through addition mechanical transmission gearbox. The question is if today standard interface is good enough or need additional support a “stiffener”. Two engineering design were analysed. The first one includes using the stiffener to fixate the construction of hybrid drive unite connected to the planetary gear. The second one is without the stiffener. For strain-stress analysis, a finite element software ANSYS Workbench was used.

Aiming at the irregularity of the fault characteristics of the helicopter main reducer planetary gear, a fault diagnosis method based on support vector data description (SVDD) is proposed. The working condition of the helicopter is complex and changeable, and the fault characteristics of the planetary gear also show irregularity with the change of working conditions. It is impossible to diagnose the fault by the regularity of a single fault feature; so a method of SVDD based on Gaussian kernel function is used. By connecting the energy characteristics and fault characteristics of the helicopter main reducer running state signal and performing vector quantization, the planetary gear of the helicopter main reducer is characterized, and simultaneously couple the multi-channel information, which can accurately characterize the operational state of the planetary gear’s state.
