Nanosized films with ferromagnetic layers are widely used in nanoelectronics, sensor systems and telecommunication. The physical and magnetic properties of nanolayers may significantly differ from those known for bulk materials due to fine crystalline structure, influence of interfaces, roughness, and diffusion. In this work, we are employing a spectral ellipsometry method, magneto-optical Kerr magnetometry and VSM to investigate the impact of layer thickness on the optical constants and magnetization processes for two and three layer films of the type Al/NiFe/sitall, Al/Ge/NiFe/sitall on sitall substrate for different thickness of the upper Al layers. The refractive indexes of two layer films are well resolved by spectral ellipsometry demonstrating their good quality. Modelling data for three-layer films show considerable discrepancy with the experiment, which can be related to a stronger influence of interfaces. The magnetization processes of two-layer films weakly depend on the type and thickness of the upper non-ferromagnetic layers. However, the coercivity of three layer films may significantly change with the thickness of the upper layer: more than twice when the thickness of Al layer increases from 4 to 20 nm.

Co(5 nm)/Dy(t[Formula: see text])/Co(20 nm)/S and Ni(5 nm)/Dy(t[Formula: see text])/Ni(20 nm)/S trilayer films are prepared by electron-beam sputtering to investigate the influence of dysprosium layer thickness (t[Formula: see text]) and thermal annealing on the crystal structure, magnetoresistance (MR) and magnetic properties of thin films. The thickness of Dy layer changed in the range from 1 nm to 20 nm. The samples annealed for 20 min at 700 K. Electron diffraction patterns reveal that the as-deposited and annealed systems Co/Dy/Co and Ni/Dy/Ni had fcc-Co + hcp-Dy and fcc-Ni + hcp-Dy phase state, respectively. It is also shown that at the t[Formula: see text] = 15 nm the transition from amorphous to crystalline structures of Dy layer is observed. An increase in the Dy layer thickness results in changes in the MR and magnetic properties of the trilayer systems. It is shown that MR is most thermally stable against annealing to 700 K at t[Formula: see text] = 15 nm for Co/Dy/Co as well as for Ni/Dy/Ni. For t[Formula: see text] = 15 nm the, value of MR for both system increases by two times compared to those of pure ferromagnetic (FM) samples. The coercivity (B[Formula: see text]), remanent (M[Formula: see text]) and saturation (M[Formula: see text]) magnetization of the in-plain magnetization hysteresis loops are related to the Dy layer thickness too. The coercivity depends on the FM materials type and diffusion processes at the layer boundary. Accordingly, M[Formula: see text] and M[Formula: see text] are reduced with t[Formula: see text] increasing before and after annealing for both trilayer systems.

We proposed that a moderator, others' similarity, would determine the impact of high participation rates of others on an individual's charitable behavior, and aimed to show that this moderator would work through the diffusion of responsibility motive. Participants (N = 152 undergraduate students) completed measures of charitable behavior and diffusion of responsibility, after being assigned to 1 of 2 conditions where a set percentage of other students (manipulated as either similar undergraduate students or dissimilar graduate students) were stated to have already donated to a charitable campaign (high contribution condition = 70% participation, low contribution condition = 30% participation). Our results showed that the high participation rate of others increased an individual's charitable behavior when the others in question were similar to that individual, but not when the others were dissimilar. In addition, the high rate of participation by others increased the diffusion of responsibility motive when the others in question were dissimilar to that individual, leading to a negative effect on that individual's charitable behavior.

We report on the synthesis and physical properties of cm-sized CoGeO3 single crystals grown in a high pressure mirror furnace at pressures of 80 bar. Direction dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements on our single crystals reveal highly anisotropic magnetic properties that we attribute to the impact of strong single ion anisotropy appearing in this system with TN∼33.5 K. Furthermore, we observe effective magnetic moments that are exceeding the spin only values of the Co ions, which reveals the presence of sizable orbital moments in CoGeO3.

This paper refers to the structural and magnetic properties of [(Fe80Nb6B14)0.88Dy0.12]1−xZrx (x = 0; 0.01; 0.02; 0.05; 0.1; 0.2; 0.3; 0.5) alloys obtained by the vacuum mold suction casting method. The analysis of the phase contribution indicated a change in the compositions of the alloys. For x < 0.05, occurrence of the dominant Dy2Fe14B phase was observed, while a further increase in the Zr content led to the increasing contribution of the Fe–Zr compounds and, simultaneously, separation of crystalline Dy. The dilution of (Fe80Nb6B14)0.88Dy0.12 in Zr strongly influenced the magnetization processes of the examined alloys. Generally, with the increasing x parameter, we observed a decrease in coercivity; however, the unexpected increase in magnetic saturation and remanence for x = 0.2 and x = 0.3 was shown and discussed.

The present understanding of this work is about to evaluate and resolve the temperature compensation point (TCP) or zero temperature coefficient (ZTC) point for a sub-20 nm FinFET. The sensitivity of geometry parameters on assorted performances of Fin based device and its reliability over ample range of temperatures i.e. 25?C to 225?C is reviewed to extend the benchmark of device scalability. The impact of fin height (HFin), fin width (WFin), and temperature (T) on immense performance metrics including on-off ratio (Ion/Ioff), transconductance (gm), gain (AV), cut-off frequency (fT), static power dissipation (PD), energy (E), energy delay product (EDP), and sweet spot (gmfT/ID) of the FinFET is successfully carried out by commercially available TCAD simulator SentaurusTM from Synopsis Inc.
