The internal logistics system planning in distribution center includes: processes planning; functional area layout planning; facilities and equipment selection configuration; cargo storage planning. In recent years, China has the unprecedented scale of logistics park construction. In order to build a scientific and rational logistics infrastructure, it has a very practical value to research the theory and method of internal logistics system planning in distribution center. From the point of reality, this paper studies the processes planning, functional area layout planning, facilities and equipment selection configuration and cargo storage planning. Using the planning methods and models presented in this paper we can design processes, quantitatively plan facilities in distribution, improve operational efficiency and reduce operating costs in distribution center.

With increasing product variety and rapidly changing market conditions, new methods of planning are required to adequately respond to market complexity. In this context, adaptability is a key asset that needs to be supported and optimized through appropriate planning methods. Especially for layout planning it holds true that suitable methods and systems can give a competitive advantage. This article discusses the benefits of mobile layout planning on the shop floor exemplified by the learning factory „advanced Industrial Engineering“ (aIE) and a layout planning app for Android.

Layout decision is an important issue in electronics manufacturing process. A good layout with better arrangement of assembly machines will increase overall efficiency and throughput. It is not uncommon that many industrial companies in Hong Kong do not use systematic layout planning methods for their layout decisions. This paper aims at developing a simulation model to analyze the best layout decision for an electronics manufacturing company. Finally, a simplified fuzzy PERT network framework is proposed to model a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line for calculating the fuzzy throughput time of the SMT line under fuzzy processing parameters.

The factory as a place of value-adding activities is forced to adapt continuously to turbulent conditions. New requirements regarding flexibility, speed, mobility and cost efficiency are some of factory planning. Hence the role of factory planning has developed from a one-time activity to a continuous management task. To achieve optimal results with regard to the new requirements it is necessary to analyze the existing processes and the functionality of the technical equipment at the workplace in detail. Therefore the existing methods of factory planning have to be improved. This paper focuses on the improvement of factory layout planning methods. One of the main areas of research of the Institute for Production Management and Enterprise Research (IFU) is the participatory layout planning. The goal of the research activities is to develop a method to integrate the employees from the shop-floor level into the planning process since they have special knowledge of the processes and technical equipment, which is necessary to achieve optimized planning results. To support the implementation of the participatory factory planning the IFU — in co-operation with the foresee GmbH — started the development of a participatory planning table called T3Pad (Tangible table top to enhance participation and development). The T3Pad is a conventional conference table with an integrated multi-touch display. The use of a gesture based software for layout planning offers the factory planning team the opportunity to design a layout by using the existing knowledge of the “classic” planning departments as well as the special manufacturing experience of the shop-floor employees. In order to realize the participation of the whole planning team the software has to comply with two major requirements: on the one hand the requirement in terms of the database and rules of factory planning; on the other hand the requirement of the usability of the software interfaces. Until now the users of factory planning methods have to adapt themselves to the function mode of computers instead of interacting and communicating in an intuitive way. This leads to limited interaction between user and hardware. The main goal of the T3Pad is an optimal support of the user by the software interface. To reach this goal the IFU started a field study to analyze the adoption of gesture based software interaction.

Subject. The article investigates the program-targeted planning methodology, which is implemented in the Russian Federation and leading foreign countries, for high-tech industry development. Objectives. The aim is to identify the specifics of program-targeted planning for the development of high-tech industries, to shape programs and plans for innovative development in the Russian Federation and leading foreign countries. Methods. The study employs general scientific methods of systems analysis, including the statistical and logical analysis. Results. I reviewed methods of program-targeted planning, implemented by the world’s leading countries (the Russian Federation, United States of America, France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Norway, Japan, Canada), in the interests of the development of various high-tech sectors of the economy. The study established that the methodology of program-targeted management is an effective tool for resource allocation by various types of economic activities in accordance with national priorities. I developed proposals by priority areas for improving the methodology for program-targeted planning and management in the Russian Federation in modern economic conditions. Conclusions. The findings and presented proposals can be used to improve methods for program-targeted planning to develop high-tech sectors of the economy; to design various long-term programs and plans, reducing the risk of their implementation; to determine the ways and methods of sustainable socio-economic and innovative and technological development of the world's leading economies.
