Abstract The paper presents a comparative analysis between the surface global irradiation measured for Romania and the predicted irradiation obtained by numerical simulation. The measured data came from the Romanian National meteorological Administration. Based on a preliminary analysis that took into account several criteria among which, performance, cost, popularity and meteorological and satellite data accessibility we concluded that a combination GFS-WRF(NMM) or GFS-WRF(ARW) is most suitable for short term global solar irradiation forecasting in order to assess the performance of the photovoltaic power stations (Badescu and Dumitrescu, 2012, [1], Martin et al., 2011, [2]).

ABSTRACTThe electrical bandgap of microcrystalline silicon (μc-Si:H) p type layers used in a-Si:H alloy solar cells and the band edge discontinuities between μc-Si:H and a-Si:H alloys have been determined by internal photoemission measurements. The bandgap of μc-Si:H is found to be in the range of 1.50 to 1.57 eV, and the discontinuities at the conduction and the valence band edges are 0 to 0.07 and 0.26 to 0.35 eV, respectively. Use of these parameters in the numerical simulation of single-junction a-Si:H and a-SiGe:H alloy solar cells is found to predict experimental results of solar cell performance.

This contribution is carrying similar title as former published two ones [1,2] , as until today there is some discussion about relationship of numerical simulation a experiment during structure construction,. What is better and what is more trustworthy. Looking at motto we see that any of the separate application cannot fulfill recent requirements for high quality, warranted life time and lower mass of structures together with economic approach (short term of design).
