Shipbreaking is the recycling mechanism that is reprocessed or scrapped or disposed of almost obsolete cargo vessels. As the breakdown process of these vessels takes place within a multifarious framework, the workforce is confronting many environmental and health barriers throughout the recycling sector. Bangladesh is well known for earning a good deal of profit from such a precarious and caustic industry on the South-eastern offshore in the country but on the flip side, the masters of this insecure business are actively contravening the employees on the top of that human rights here are completely missing. The current situation in the Chittagong ship-breaking area is getting worse day by day, while current workers are deprived of basic rights, victim workers are completely ignored. The concentration of this research paper is to evaluate the socio-economic status of victims ' workers and to explore the system of rehabilitation of victims ' workers in shipbreaking divisions. This study found that, after the fatal accidents, the condition of victim workers had become more miserable due to deprivation of compensation and other rehabilitation support from the authorities and the government.

Background: Nutritional status is a positive health indicator. Malnutrition is a major health problem which is associated with high morbidity and mortality of under 5 children. Factors associated with socio-economic status, mother’s education, hygiene, incidence of infectious diseases are the important determinants of malnutrition. Materials & Methods: This was a cross-sectional study. Anthropometric measurements and other data of 706 under 5 children were collected purposively during the period of May 2015 to April 2016. Results: In this study, mean age of the under 5 children was 34.61±5.4 months, male was 50.7% and female was 49.3%. This study revealed that 49% of children were underweight, 39% were stunted and 10.5% were wasted. The multivariate analysis found that mother’s education, poor socio-economic status and associated diseases had significant association with nutritional status of under 5 children. However, occupational status of child’s mother found no significant association on nutritional status. Conclusion: The prevalence of malnourished children in rural community in this study was found very high. Of them, underweight children was higher than wasted and stunted children. There is growing evidence that shows that social context is becoming less significant in influencing educational achievements and expectations. Additionally, evidence indicates that expectations are high across the board and becoming of declining significance to educational achievement. In light of this, we reexamine and offer an alternative to the renowned linear models connecting background variables to scholarly achievement via pupils' educational expectation. Analysis of GCSE scores, using three consecutive waves of the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England, reveals that the verity of this classical claim is dependent on occupational class, ethnic origin, and school socio-economic status level. These results thus confirm an unrecognized effect of family and school background variables on achievement—not only to engender expectations but also to moderate their influence. This recognition expands and deepens understanding of inequality in educational achievement and social mobility by treating expectations as a resource and analytically distinguishing between the ability of a social group or a certain school to attain or create high expectations and their ability to capitalize on it and translate these into achievements. We find that in many cases, expectations still possess strong potential to transform into achievement, while in others they are high across the board and rather inconsequential.
