Abstract Cylindrical intersecting holes(CIHs) are common connection and location reference features in assembly of large aerospace structures such as missile and rocket cabins. The posture accuracy of assembly holes significantly impacts the relative position accuracy of joined parts and fatigue strength of finished product. At present, monocular vision measurement is widely used in automatic drilling of assembly holes for its integration simplicity and lower cost, but in most research, only the front face edge of the hole is used in the measurement model, and the hole end surface is usually assumed to be plane, which inevitably leads to precision loss. In this research, a novel posture measurement method for CIHs is proposed. Firstly, by introducing an ambiguity removal strategy, a coarse posture estimation method based on plane hypothesis of the two end surfaces of CIHs is suggested. Secondly, considering that there is no simply explicit expression for CIHs edge, thus it is difficult to adopt the conventional model projection based pose optimization method. In view of this, the three-dimensional points corresponding to the edge pixels of CIHs image are derived, and the pose optimization model is established by minimizing the deviations between the distance from the points to the CIHs axis and the hole radius. Moreover, to better control the direction parameters of CIHs during the global optimization process, the approximately perpendicular and intersection constraints between CIHs axis and cylindrical component axis are involved in solution. The effectiveness of the posture measurement method is verified by comparative experiments with current methods and CMM, which demonstrates improvements on both measurement accuracy and robustness.

The agroecological economic system is the basic system on which human beings depend for survival. In order to better evaluate the operation status of a regional agroecological economic system and deepen the cognition of the input and output of the regional agroecological economic system from the angle of emergy, the evaluation method of sustainable development of the regional agroecological economic system with comprehensive consideration of resources, economy, and environment was proposed by constructing a unified dimensional measurement model. This paper analyzed and evaluated the data of the agroecological economic system in Anhui Province from 2010 to 2019. The results showed that the agroecological economic system in Anhui Province bore less environmental pressure and gradually decreased, and had a good system efficiency and economic benefits. The average emergy sustainability index (ESI) was 3.12, indicating that the agroecological economic system in Anhui Province had certain vitality of sustainable development. Based on this, the paper puts forward some suggestions on sustainable and high-quality agricultural development in Anhui Province, which provides theoretical and methodical support for sustainable development of a regional agricultural economy.

Evaluation method of reliability parameter estimation needs to be improved effectively with the advance of science and technology. This paper develops a new method of parameter estimation, which is named E-Bayesian estimation method. In the case one hyper-parameter, the definition of E-Bayesian estimation of the failure probability is provided, moreover, the formulas of E-Bayesian estimation and hierarchical Bayesian estimation, and the property of E-Bayesian estimation of the failure probability are also provided. Finally, calculation on practical problems shows that the provided method is feasible and easy to perform.

The aim of this study is to develop a statistical estimation method of S-N curve for iron and structural steels by using their static mechanical properties. In this study, firstly, the S-N data for pure iron and structural steels were extracted from "Database on fatigue strength of Metallic Materials" published by the Society of Materials Science, Japan (JSMS) and S-N curve regression model was applied based on the JSMS standard, "Standard Evaluation Method of Fatigue Reliability for Metallic Materials -Standard Regression Method of S-N Curve-". Secondly, correlations between regression parameters and static mechanical properties were investigated. As a result, the relationship between the regression parameters and static mechanical properties (e.g. fatigue limit E and static tensile strength σB) showed strong correlations, respectively. Using these correlations, it is revealed that S-N curve for iron and structural steels can be predicted easily from the static mechanical properties.

Abstract In the terahertz band, the dispersive characteristic of dielectric material is one of the major problems in the scaled radar cross section (RCS) measurement, which is inconsistent with the electrodynamics similitude deducted according to the Maxwell’s equations. Based on the high-frequency estimation method of physical optics (PO), a scaled RCS measurement method for lossy objects is proposed through dynamically matching the reflection coefficients according to the distribution of the object’s facets. Simulations on the model of SLICY were conducted, the inversed RCS of the lossy prototype was obtained using the proposed method. Via comparing the inversed RCS with the calculated results, the validity of the proposed method is demonstrated. The proposed method provides an effective solution to the scaled RCS measurement for lossy objects in the THz band.

With the development of industrial automation, location measurement of 3D objects is becoming more and more important, especially as it can provide necessary positional parameters for the manipulator to grasp the object accurately. In view of the disabled object which is in widespread use currently, its image is captured to obtain positional parameters and transmitted to manipulators in industry. The above process is delayed, affecting the work efficiency of the manipulator. A method for calculating the position information of target object in motion is proposed. This method uses monocular vision technology to track 3D moving objects, then uses contour sorting method to extract the minimum constrained contour rectangle, and combines the video alignment technology to realize the tracking. Thus, the measurement error is reduced. The experimental results and analysis show that the adopted measurement method is effective.

A method for measuring block thicknesses is proposed by the machine vision measurement. Equations of the measuring base plane and the light plane are formed by calibration. Then, the equation of the light strip image, that is, the image of the intersection between the base plane and light one, is established by the projection relation. Equation of the image of the light strip on the measured plane can be determined by the fitting. Since the light strip on the measuring base plane is parallel to one on the measured plane, the thickness of the measuring block is measured by using the two equations. The experiment evaluates the measurement accuracy of the measurement method and analyzes the influence of some factors on the measurement results.
