This study aims to investigate the needs of students and lecturers in writing instructions using the process genre approach. Besides, this research is also based on facts which reveal that decision making on learning objectives is only taken from the curriculum and syllabus review used. But unfortunately, the preference of students and lecturers for learning needs is actually ignored. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using questionnaires and interviews as research instruments. The number of participants in this study was 3 Indonesian language lecturers and 65 students at the State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The participants of the students were selected by using a purposive random sampling technique. The results showed that the need for a writing learning model design using the process genre approach. Specifically, the findings of this study include several aspects needed by students and lecturers, namely: (1) a comprehensive learning approach involving students, colleagues, and lecturers, (2) writing assessment must cover broader aspects, and (3) the need for publication as part of the writing activity. Furthermore, the syntax in the learning model based on the needs analysis is: (1) recognize the form of the text, (2) analyze the text, (3) discuss the text, (4) write the text independently, (5) finalize the text, and (6) publish the text.

AbstractThe learning model of Islamic Education (PAI) in tertiary institutions has recently been highlighted by many observers of education. This situation is reasonable considering that from year to year, racism acts mainly occur in universities. A nation of caliber in Indonesia with large heterogeneity is indeed very possible for friction between students, considering all the possibilities, this paper tries to analyze the PAI learning model based on multiculturalism in tertiary institutions. This research uses the library research method by analyzing the results of the study of books and scientific journals. This research produces a multicultural PAI based learning model through which students can absorb and practice multicultural PAI based learning in tertiary institutions so that it has implications for attitudes of respect, acceptance and appreciation of differences between students. Keyword: Learning Model, PAI, Multicultural, Higher Education AbstrakModel pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di perguruan tinggi akhir-akhir ini disoroti banyak pemerhati pendidikan. Keadaan ini merupakan hal wajar mengingat dari tahun ketahun terus terjadi perbuatan rasisme terutama di perguruan tingginya. Bangsa sekaliber Indonesia dengan heterogenitas besar memang sangat memungkinkan terjadinya gesekan antar mahasiswa, memperhatikan segala kemungkinan tersebut tulisan ini mencoba menganalisis model pembelajaran PAI berlandaskan multikultural di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan menganalisis hasil kajian buku dan jurnal ilmiah. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model pembelajaran PAI berlandaskan multikultural yang dengannya mahasiswa dapat menyerap dan mengamalkan pembelajaran PAI berlandaskan multikultural di perguruan tinggi sehingga berimplikasi pada sikap penghormatan, penerimaan dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan antar mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran, PAI, Multikultural, Perguruan Tinggi

The environmental problems at this time, especially the diversity of bat cave dwellers in the karst of Cibalong, Tasikmalaya should be given the special attention by all of the society elements, especially by the educators who must act real and solve the problems to give the view of knowledge to the community and the students in understanding the importance of bats which is considered as a pest and it is associated with mystical things. One of the effort is looking for and implementing  some of learning model based on the local wisdom to change and establish the scientific thinking of the sociaety and the students to analyze the presence of bat in term of the survival of the ecosystem. It is expected that bats and their habitats in Karst of Cibalong, Tasikmalaya can be preserved.

Models of college student development have demonstrated an insensitivity to the differences that exist among various students, although such differences are very important in a world where student bodies in higher education are increasingly diverse. The authors present a model based on The Dakota Inventory of Student Orientations, which may be useful for program developmen that fosters reflection, self discovery, perspective-taking, and collaboration among students with varying orientations towards learning.
