Abstract Currently, there are quite a large number of various scientific papers on the creation of a controlled asynchronous engine and the optimization of its modes, and the availability of acceptable results for practical implementation, but there is still no single generally accepted approach to solving the problem. In this regard, the issue of synthesis of scalar control systems that provide the minimum value of one or another criterion of energy efficiency is relevant. In this paper, we consider the obtained mathematical model of an asynchronous engine (AE), which differs from the known ones in that the parameters of the substitution scheme are expressed in terms of the stator and rotor conductivities. The energy characteristics of the AE in the sliding function are obtained, which make it possible to determine the dependences of the active and reactive components of the AE current and the possibility of their redistribution within the nominal value of the AE phase current. The principle of optimal frequency-current control of AE is formulated, which differs from the known ones in that, as an energy efficiency indicator, the value of the maximum energy efficiency of AE is used, expressed as the ratio of the active resistance of the rotor circuit to the total conductivity of the AE phase.

Currently, there are quite a large number of various scientific papers on the creation of a controlled asynchronous motor and optimization of its modes, and the availability of acceptable results for practical implementation, but there is still no single generally accepted approach to solving the problem. In this regard, the issue of synthesis of scalar control systems that provide the minimum value of a particular energy efficiency criterion is relevant. In this paper, we consider the obtained mathematical model of an asynchronous motor (AD), which differs from the known ones in that the parameters of the substitution circuit are expressed in terms of the stator and rotor conductivities. The energy characteristics of the AD in the sliding function are obtained, which make it possible to determine the dependences of the active and reactive components of the AD current and the possibility of their redistribution within the nominal value of the AD phase current. The principle of optimal frequency-current control of AD is formulated, which differs from the known ones in that, as an energy efficiency indicator, the value of the maximum energy efficiency of AD is used, expressed as the ratio of the active resistance of the rotor circuit to the total conductivity of the AD phase. The diffusion of innovations is described as a process in a number of scientific papers. At the same time, the causes of this process have not been sufficiently studied. The author’s goal is to consider the main regularities, under which the life cycle of innovations begins, and propose measures to enhance diffusion in modern conditions. As a scientific hypothesis, the author accepts the postulate about the primary role of the obolescence of attracted innovations in this process. The analysis revealed not only the economic proportions that initiate the start of innovation promotion, but also the influence on the diffusion rate of the obsolescence degree of innovations and the market share occupied by the new product. Methodological approaches have been developed to determine economic efficiency depending on the moment of technological change-over, as well as to determine the absolute and relative speed of innovation diffusion. Sociological studies were conducted to determine the state of innovation development and the time lag between obtaining information about an innovation and its practical implementation. The author presents his “Agroopyt” information system developed to disseminate knowledge in the agricultural sphere and ensure technology transfer in agriculture. Digital methods provide for significant accelerateion of the diffusion of innovations and expand its scope.

This paper provides a characterization of the electrical energy consumption of agrifood industries located in the central region of Portugal that use refrigeration systems to ensure the food safety. The study is based on the result analysis of survey data and energy characteristics of the participating companies belonging to the following agrifood sectors: meat, dairy, horticultural, distribution and wine. Through the quantification of energy consumption of companies is possible to determine the amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions indexed to its manufacturing process. Comparing the energy and GHGs emissions indexes of companies of a sector and between sectors is possible to create reference levels. With the results of this work is possible to rating the companies in relation to reference levels of energy and GHGs emissions and thus promote the rational use of energy by the application of practice measures for the improvement of the energy efficiency and the reduction of GHGs emissions.

Abstract An experimental study of the spheroidization efficiency of induction plasma processes was completed. The main objective being to obtain models which could be subsequently used for the prediction of the spheroidization efficiency for various powders and plasma operating conditions. Silica, alumina, chromium oxide and zirconia powders were treated during the experimentation. For the plasma treatment of the powders the installation used had a maximum available power of 50 kW with an operating frequency of 3 MHz. Operating conditions were varied such to minimize side reactions and the evaporation of powders. The resulting powders did show the presence of cavities and a slight change in the mean diameters. The maximum energy efficiency based semi-empirical model did predict the spheroidization efficiency of the particles beyond a defined critical point known as the maximum energy efficiency point. For the model, the maximum energy efficiency is distinct for the individual powders but remain within a defined range which is reflected in the small variations in the Z constant.

In the paper the principle and performances of the pulsating current injection based sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) are analyzed theoretically and investigated by simulations. In the analyses, the effects of the speed EMF terms and the deviation between the actual d-axis high-frequency current and the command, which results from the limited gain and bandwidth of the current control loop, are all taken into account. It is shown that the pulsating current injection method can achieve stable position estimation in a wide speed range. But appreciable position errors will result at high speeds due to the cross-coupling effects of the speed EMFs and the tracking error between the actual and command carrier current. In order to improve the performance, a modified scheme is proposed. Its validity is confirmed by simulations.

The paper introduces the results of mathematical simulation of the operating modes of an asynchronous motor when powered by a sinusoidal voltage source and a width-modulated voltage pulse source. The study shows the possibilities of increasing the energy efficiency of an asynchronous electric drive. Findings of research show the feasibility of studying the switching of the motor power source from a pulse width-modulated voltage to a sinusoidal voltage source in the nominal operating mode in order to increase the energy efficiency of the electric drive
