A dynamic development of IT applications automating external processes based on a B2B model refers to a variety of enterprises, including construction companies. Due to the high variability of data during the construction processes performance and the need of a continuous data bases supplied with current data, construction companies expect a good, multifunctional and efficient system - a B2B platform that supports the exchange of data between the ERP system, perceived as an operational layer, and modules responsible for the design, cost estimation, monitoring and control of construction processes implemented in the headquarters and directly on the building site, including the cooperation with subcontractors. The main aim of this article is to present the results of research focused on software functionalities currently available on the market which support a construction process. Ultimately, the results will be used to identify functional gaps in existing software for the construction industry. Then, the functional architecture will be designed containing standard and specialized components that will be the basis for the creation of B2B system OPTIbud.

Modern material technology relies increasingly on processes for surface modification and coating. Generally, we are lacking a possibility to monitor the progress of such processes. Thus the outcome can only be analyzed after the end of the whole process cycle. We are proposing to use spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) as an on-line monitoring tool. SE, as an optical method, is not affected by high temperatures, process gases, plasmas, etc. It can be used as a monitoring tool or a sensor for closed loop control of processes. The main difficulty is the on-line interpretation of SE data. Depending on the nature of the process monitored or controlled, different models are used for the interpretation. These models predict the SE response depending on different parameters describing the surface under investigation. A fitting process is used to solve the inverse problem, i.e. extracting material data from the SE spectra. We expect increased process stability and shorter development time as a practical benefit from the use of SE.

In order to improve the effect of soil pollution prevention and control, a technical-support cloud platform is designed to establish a high-level technologies, uniform standards, and regulatory tool for soil environmental investigation, risk assessment and repair work. Firstly, according to the process of soil remediation, combined with the source and pollution characteristics of soil pollutants, the main pollution components in the soil environment were classified and distributed, and then the platform was designed and developed. The system has the functions of project management, query, risk analysis and prediction, drawing, tabulation and so on. Finally, combining with the soil environmental quality standards, the effectiveness and cost indicators of the treatment methods were classified and digitized, which would greatly improve the implementation efficiency and reduce the cost of the project management.

Based on the status, this article has carried on detailed analysis of the whole process management and control of the construction projects’ cost, and put forward improving the levels of cost management and control by the information technology.
