In this paper, the evaluation and prediction model of prefabricated plant site was established by BP neural network, which taking nine factors into consideration, such as location, topography, land scale, transportation facilities, availability of raw materials and labour. These nine factors were taken as input factors, and the normalized global value was taken as output factor. The normalized global value was used to evaluate the performance of prefabricated plant site. In addition, the model was verified to be accurate by analysing twelve prefabricated plant site samples. Therefore, it is obvious that the model is stable in operation with high precision, and can provide effective support in the selection of prefabricated plant site.

The HAWC (High Altitude Water Cherenkov) observatory, located on the slopes of the Sierra Negra volcano in the state of Puebla, Mexico, was designed with the goal of detecting gamma-rays in the Teraelectron- volt energy range. However, most of the air showers that are detected with the observatory, with a rate of ≈ 27 kHz, are of hadronic origin. This makes that, after three years of operations, HAWC has accumulated a very large data set that allows to perform cosmic-ray analysis of high precision. The details of the observatory operation, as well as a selection of recent results in cosmic-ray physics are discussed in this work.

The south line of Jinan Qingdao highway (which is short of Ji-Qing south line) spans 281km, whose geomorphy is mainly composed by mountain lands and hills. Approximately, it runs from east to west and straddles several projection zones. Systemic conformance of its layout and measurement, high precision in company with multifunctional planes and vertical control nets make up this project’s key technological problems. The report tells of the selection of central meridian in different areas of Ji-Qing south line and the layout, observation, adjustment, height fitting and precision statistics of GPS control network; the layout, observation, adjustment and precision counting of vertical control nets; Meanwhile, it analyses and discusses that how to guarantee the systemic conformance of coordinate system and vertical datum, together with eliminating the division of points’ coordinates and elevation values’ steps when primary survey design are being made synchronously in two super highways or in different areas of the same expressway.

The paper considers influence issues of modes of milling cylindrical gears by hobbing cutters on the parameters of surface quality of the treated teeth, selection of milling mode, relevance of the performed research, possibility of using its results for the design of technological processes of manufacturing cylindrical gears, quality control of teeth surfaces both when cutting teeth and in finished gears. The article gives a method, conditions and main results of experimental study of the influence of gear milling modes by a worm milling cutter (feed S, mm/min; cutting speed V, m/min) of cylindrical gears on the roughness parameter Ra, μm; microhardness Hμ, MPa; macroscopic and microscopic stresses of σ1 and σ2, MPa; of the tooth surfaces. It is shown in particular that the dependence of Ra on V and S with sufficient accuracy (the average relative error of the coupling equation εср is 5.2–26.5 %) can be described by a firstdegree polynomial, and the dependences of Hμ, σ1 and σ2 on V and S with sufficient accuracy (εср = 4.7–12.8 %) can be described by a second-degree polynomial. It was found that the feed S has a 2.5–14 times greater effect on the change in Ra, Hμ, σ1 and σ2 than the cutting speed V during gear milling of cylindrical gears. A method for optimizing the cutting modes S and V is proposed and described, taking into account their influence on the main parameters of the process of gear milling of cylindrical gears with worm milling cutters.
