This study analyzes N=16384 COVID-19-related literature published between December 2019 to June 2020. The data were extracted from the Web of Science database using four keywords: "COVID-19", "Coronavirus", "2019-nCoV", and "SARS-CoV-2". The analysis found that almost all but a tiny number of the papers are published in 2020 (95.16%). Of the 15 types of publications, article (40.015%) is on the top of the list. All publications are in 19 different languages where English (95.313%) is the dominant one. A total of 159 countries produce COVID-19-related researches, and the USA (25.433%) is in the leading position. According to the findings, Wang Y (n=94) is the top author, and the British Medical Journal (BMJ) (n=488) is the top source. Also, the University of London (n=488) is the leading organization with the highest number of papers, and medicine-related papers (n=2259) are the highest in numbers. Apart from these novel findings, this study is perhaps the largest COVID-19-related bibliometric analysis to date.

One of the reflections of technology to education is the flipped classroom model. In The Flipped Classroom model, the lecture process on a subject is delivered at home, while the application process that is related to the subject is in the class. The purpose of this study is to examine the trends in recent years via bibliometric results of articles on the use of flipped classrooms in education. For this aim, we investigated a total of 2955 publications on the flipped classroom obtained from the Web of Science database. Then, a bibliometric analysis of the publications was carried out in this study of qualitative research method. The publications have been examined in terms of some bibliometric variables and are presented descriptively. We performed a content analysis using tables and the VOSviewer program. According to the results, the most commonly used keywords in the research are the “flipped classroom learning” and “active learning”, and the publication language is generally English.  The most common types of documents are papers and articles. Valencia Polytechnic University is the most contributing institution in its field of study.  The most active countries in terms of the number of studies are the USA and China.

The objective of this article is to identify the main characteristics of scientific research regarding the approach economic about bitcoins. This study is based on bibliometric research and network analysis, with the use of descriptive statistics in 84 articles found on the Web of Science database.  The analysis used the programs VOSviewer and Excel. The main results show that Bouri, Bouoiyour, Dyhrberg and Selmi are the authors who published most articles and that the Université de Pau (France) and the University College Dublin (Ireland) are the institutions with most publications. The journal with most publications is Plos One, which presented a 3.057 impact factor. There are only three co-authoring networks with greater expressiveness, however, there are no links between them and the others. Despite the growing number of publications on the subject, the researchs is beginning, showing a wide field of exploration.

The highly cited publications in the Web of Science category of emergency medicine were identified and analysed. Articles that have been cited 100 or more times from Web of Science Core Collection since publication year to the end of 2019 were assessed regarding their distribution in indexed journals. Six publication indicators were applied to compare the publication performance of countries and institutes. The Y-index was applied to assess publication quantity and the characteristics of contribution to highly cited authors. Words used in the highly cited articles were analysed. Citation histories of the most frequently cited articles and the most impact articles were also compared. Results showed that the USA ranked top in the six publication indicators. The University of California Davis in the USA was the most independent institute.

Purpose: The main purposes of this study were to analyze the document types and languages of published papers on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), along with the top authors, publications, countries, institutions, and disciplines, and to analyze the co-occurrence of keywords and bibliographic coupling of countries and sources of the most-cited COVID-19 literature.Methods: This study analyzed 16,384 COVID-19 studies published between December 2019 and June 2020. The data were extracted from the Web of Science database using four keywords: “COVID-19,” “coronavirus,” “2019-nCoV,” and “SARS-CoV-2.” The top 500 mostcited documents were analyzed for bibliographic and citation network visualization.Results: The studies were published in 19 different languages, and English (95.313%) was the most common. Of 157 research-producing countries, the United States (25.433%) was in the leading position. Wang Y (n=94) was the top author, and the <i>BMJ</i> (n=488) was the top source. The University of London (n=488) was the leading organization, and medicine-related papers (n=2,259) accounted for the highest proportion. The co-occurrence of keywords analysis identified “coronavirus,” “COVID-19,” “SARS-CoV-2,” “2019-nCoV,” and “pneumonia” as the most frequent words. The bibliographic coupling analysis of countries and sources showed the strongest collaborative links between China and the United States and between the <i>New England Journal of Medicine</i> and the <i>JAMA</i>.Conclusion: Collaboration between the United States and China was key in COVID-19 research during this period. Although BMJ was the leading title for COVID-19 articles, the co-author link between <i>New England Journal of Medicine</i> and <i>JAMA</i> was the strongest.

This paper addresses the field of study relating to ecological values and the production, distribution, and consumption of organic food products, aiming to contribute to the consolidation of scientific knowledge in this area of study. This article refers to a bibliographic review in the Web of Science database. It also involves bibliometric analysis of the results of this bibliographic review using the NVivo program. The main results classify the number of articles published on the basis of the methodology used, the number of countries in the analysis units, the central themes of the study, and the type of organic food considered in the bibliography analyzed. It also classifies the articles with the greatest impact in relation to the number of bibliographic references, in addition to detailing the universities, institutions, and journals with the largest number of contributions in the field of study. The research concludes by identifying that most of the articles apply a quantitative methodology and address generic aspects of organic food. This study identifies a need for further research in relation to specific organic foods, and for articles that introduce comparative analysis at the international level.

Nanotechnology is a fast-growing scientific research area internationally and is classified as an important emerging research area. In response to this importance, South African researchers and institutions have also increased their efforts in this area. A bibliometric study of articles as indexed in the Web of Science considered the development in this field with respect to the growth in literature, collaboration profile and the research areas that are more within the country’s context. We also looked at public institutions that are more active in this arena, including government policy considerations as guided by the National Nanotechnology Strategy launched in 2005. We found that the number of nanotechnology publications have shown a remarkable growth ever since the launch of the strategy. Articles on nanotechnology have been published in numerous journals, with Electrochimica Acta publishing the most, followed by Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. These publications fall within the traditional domains of chemistry and physics. In terms of the institutional profile and based on publication outputs over the period reviewed, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research is a leading producer of publications in nanotechnology, followed by the University of the Witwatersrand – institutions that are both based in the Gauteng Province. There is a high level of international collaboration with different countries within this field – the most productive collaboration is with India, followed by the USA and China, as measured through co-authorship.

Technology has been gradually introduced into our society, and the field of education is no exception due to technology’s ability to improve the teaching–learning process. Furthermore, within the area of physical education (PE), its importance has been highlighted by the existence of specific apps for physical activity that can be used inside and outside the classroom to assess physical condition, as well as through the potential that virtual and augmented reality can have in such assessment. Therefore, the main objectives for this study were (1) to perform a bibliometric analysis of the articles published in the Web of Science (WoS) on technology in PE and (2) to analyze the articles published on augmented or virtual reality in PE found through this search. The results show that although studies on technology in PE (461 articles) have begun to consolidate over the last five years (there was a turning point in 2015), with the USA being the most influential country in this area, specific research on the use of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) is still at a very early stage (22 articles with a small growth in 2017), with Spain being the most influential country; much more research is needed to achieve its consolidation.
