In this paper, the differential element of constant-section silo wall suffering from axially symmetric load is analyzed. From the results of constant-section silo, the author derives the displacements and internal forces of variable cross-section silo. Through a specific example, this paper compares the displacements , internal forces and concrete consumption of variable cross-section silo with those of constant-section silo, and discusses the merits of variable cross-section silo.

This paper presents design and simulation of charge pump architectures for 10GHz Charge Pump Phase locked Loop. Differential delay cell VCO with symmetric load and Programmable frequency divider are efficiently implemented in loop. Able to achieve Peak jitter of the Divider 10ns, Peak jitter of VCO 205ps at 1GHz.Charge pump is analysed in loop by reduced current mismatch using improved high swing cascode structure including start up circuitand it has low turn ON voltage and high ouput impedance to provide stable voltage.Charge pump results current mismatch less than 0.05%.10GHz DPLL is simulated with 65nm techonology, 1.2V and tsmc foundary model files

The questions of analytical calculating the beam on the base with the modulus of deformation (modulus of elasticity), which is changed by thickness of the layer by power law, was deals in the article. The purpose of work was receiving finite expressions for reactive pressure of the basе on a beam and internal efforts in a beam when using model of the base with two characteristics (coefficient of subgrade resistance). A system of differential equations second-order with respect to the displacements of points the surface of a layer with a continuously changing modulus of elasticity was obtained based on the minimum of the total potential strain energy. The calculation of the rigid beam on the base on the action of the symmetric load was performed and the formulas for the reactive pressures of the base were got. Numerical calculation is executed and the analysis of influence of change of the module of deformation of a layer by the amount of reactive pressure and the bending moment in a beam was given. It is shown that with increase in the module of deformation on layer thickness the basе with two characteristics on nature of work is approaching vinklerovsky.

Plastic pipe reinforced by cross helically wound steel wires (PSP) is a new plastic-matrix steel composite pipe developed in China recently. To deeply understand the mechanical properties of buried PSPs, a finite element model of PSP subjected to non-axis symmetric load is proposed. The model is verified by replacing the parameters of PSP by those of steel pipe. A good agreement shows that the model can be used to analyze mechanical behavior of buried PSP. Finally, the influences of internal pressure, properties of soil, geometry parameters of PSP and magnitude of load, etc. are discussed.

The paper deals with cylindrical tanks. Structures of this type have been used in hydraulic engineering, e.g. water towers, sewerage plant tanks. In recent years, cylindrical tanks have been also used in biogas management as fermentation and storage tanks. While the standard hydrostatic load acts symmetrically, it evokes the rotary symmetric load. During the seismic event, the load acts in one direction only, i.e. in the direction of earthquake. This load imposes a non-symmetrical loading of a structure. By a combination of individual loads the resulting forces are slightly non-symmetrical.Specific tank has been modeled. In one model, the solution is made using the quasi-static load induced by the hydrodynamic pressure according to the standard EC1998, part 4 [12]. The other model is presented as a calculation using the modal and spectral analyses under the seismic load. At the conclusion, these two solutions have been compared.

During the process of structure design, non uniform load on beam usually is considered as similar uniform load. Some analytic solution formulas of bending moment about beams acted on symmetric load are deduced. Table of equivalent uniform load coefficient according to the principle of bending moment equivalency is listed. The feasibility and beware are also discussed.

A simple pressure vessel suitable for use at room temperature has been developed which allows neutron diffraction data to be collected from cylindrical samples of up to 10 mm diameter, at confining pressures of up to 160 MPa, whilst they are also being deformed in compression by the application of a uniaxially symmetric load. The vessel has been commissioned on the ENGIN-X beamline at the ISIS neutron facility (Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Chilton, UK). The commissioning results show that neutron diffraction data of quality equivalent to that obtained using an identical experiment geometry at room pressure can be acquired using the pressure vessel with only about a factor of two increase in count times.
