This work is a part of the thematic of monitoring and fault diagnosis of the squirrel cage three-phase induction machine. The choice of this type of machine is justified by the growing success it has exhibited, mainly, in the electric drives with variable speed. Signal based detection methods are presented is validated in simulation. The proposed diagnosis approach requires only little experimental data, and more importantly it provides efficient simulation tools that allow characterizing faulty behavior. In this study, the proposed approach considers the value of rotor resistance as fixed for condition monitoring. This value in the diagnostic tools which one uses is not fixed contrary to the classical approaches of control of machine.

One of the main operation modes that characterizes power quality in distribution networks is asymmetry of three-phase voltage system. Operation of an induction motor (IM) with disturbed voltage symmetry in the supply network can not be considered as a rated one. The system of voltages applied to the stator winding of IM under these conditions contains positive- and negative-sequence components. This worsens the performance characteristics of IM essentially. In order to balance the 0.38 kV network operation and enhance the efficiency of the three-phase electric motor operation it is suggested to use a special balancing unit (BU) that minimizes the negative-sequence components of current and voltage. The operation modes of the obtained system “supply source – induction motor – balancing unit” are simulated within the MATLAB software package of applied programs, which allows one to assess the impact of low quality of power on the operating characteristics of the electric motor and the efficiency of the balancing unit to increase the “durability” of the motor under the asymmetrical power consumption.

In this article, authors described selected logistics automation tools (ASLP) and briefly presentedthe PROMETHEE multi-criteria decision making method in terms of its application in assessing the implementation of ASLP in the field of production logistics. A methodology for preparing the data required toevaluate the ASLP implementation process based on modelling and simulation tools was also proposed.

Z-source inverter can boost the voltage of the DC-side, allow the two switches of the same leg conducting at the same time and it has some other advantages. The zero-sequence current flows through the fourth leg of the three-phase four-leg inverter so the three-phase four-leg inverter can work with unbalanced load. This paper presents a Z-source three-phase four-leg inverter which combines a Z-source network with three-phase four-leg inverter. The circuit uses simple SPWM modulation technique and the fourth leg uses fully compensated control method. The inverter can maintain a symmetrical output voltage when the proposed scheme under the unbalanced load.
