Piston cylinder high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) apparatus is a most important instrument for studying deep earth processes and other HTHP experiments. But the apparatus with basic configuration require improvement. A new temperature and pressure automatic control system is present in the paper, and the system operating software is developed based on LabVIEW. The new control system realizes the pressure and the temperature working in the multi-mode, which improves the applicability. Experiment data and operating state are real-time displayed and recorded. The software has encryption protection and alert functions. Actual operation results show that the system has the good performance of following the setting curves and robustness.

A fully predictive model of a Common Rail fuel injection apparatus, which includes a detailed simulation of rail, pump, piping system, injectors and rail pressure control system, is presented and discussed. The high-pressure pump and injector sub-models have been validated separately and then coupled to the rail and pressure control system sub-models. The complete predictive model has been validated and applied to investigate the effects of the dynamics of each component of the injection apparatus on the rail pressure time history. Variable timing of the high-pressure pump delivery phases has also been considered, and the influence of this parameter on the injection performance has been analysed for both single- and multiple-injection events. Furthermore, the injection system dynamics during the transients between steady-state working conditions has been investigated in order to highlight the role played by the dynamic response of the pressure control system on the rail pressure time history.

At cementing of casing of oil and gas wells during the process of injecting of cement slurry in the casing column the slurry can move with a higher speed than it’s linear injection speed. A break of continuity of fluid flow occurs, what can lead to poor quality isolation of producing formations and shorten the effective life of the well. We need to find some technical solution to stabilize the linear velocity of the cement slurry in the column. This task can be resolved with an automated control system.
