Envelope analysis based on the combination of complex Morlet wavelet and Kurtogram have advantages of automatic calculation of the center frequency and bandwidth of required band-pass filter. However, there are some drawbacks in the traditional algorithm, which include that the filter bandwidth is not -3dB bandwidth and the analysis frequency band covered by the filter-banks are inconsistent at different levels. A new algorithm is introduced in this paper. Through it, both optimal center frequency and bandwidth of band-pass filter in the envelop analysis can be obtained adaptively. Meanwhile, it ensures that the filters in the filter-banks are overlapped at the point of -3dB bandwidth and the consistency of frequency band that the filter-banks covered.

Conventionally, the fault signal of motor thermal overload in a non-periodic component is not effectively filtered with Full-wave Fourier Algorithm (or FFA). In this paper, a design which combined Complex Morlet Wavelet Algorithm with Subtraction (or CMWAS) filter is presented. The design gives system model of overload and algorithm analysis It is verified that the new algorithm is better than the FFA algorithm in terms of filtering decaying DC component.

Calculation of interval damping ratio under uncertain load in power system The problem of small-signal stability considering load uncertainty in power system is investigated. Firstly, this paper shows attempts to create a nonlinear optimization model for solving the upper and lower limits of the oscillation mode's damping ratio under an interval load. Then, the effective successive linear programming (SLP) method is proposed to solve this problem. By using this method, the interval damping ratio and corresponding load states at its interval limits are obtained. Calculation results can be used to evaluate the influence of load variation on a certain mode and give useful information for improvement. Finally, the proposed method is validated on two test systems.

Fault analysis study is the important parameter of economic, reliable and secure power system planning and operation. Power system studies are important during the planning and conceptual design stages of the project. This paper presents the fault analysis on IEEE-9 bus system. The line to ground fault is created on bus 5th and analyzed the variation in Voltage, Real power, Reactive power on different buses. The fault at 5th bus of IEEE-9 bus system is analyzed on PSCAD software.

A phenomenon that the damping ratio will decrease when the power flows from both sides to the primary power grid is summarized and analyzed in the paper. Based on analysis of the damping ratio change of West Inner Mongolia-Shandong oscillation under the sequential operation mode and the hedge operation mode, a three-machine equivalent system is established to study edge to edge (ETE) oscillation mode under hedge operating mode of the power system. The influence of magnitudes and trends of power flow on damping ratio is analyzed, and the reason that why damping ratios decreases when both sides send power to the mid-side power grid is explained.

A new approach to bearing fault diagnosis under run-up based on order tracking and continuous complex Morlet wavelet transform demodulation technique is presented. The non-stationary vibration signal is first transformed from the time domain transient signal to angle domain stationary one using order tracking technique. Then the continuous complex Morlet wavelet transform is applied to the angle domain re-sampled signal and the complex Morlet wavelet transform based multi-scale envelope spectrum is obtained. The experimental result shows that order tracking and complex Morlet wavelet transform based multi-scale envelope spectrum can effectively diagnosis bearing localized fault.

With the scale of the wind farm growing fast, its impact on the power system has become increasingly apparent. So the research has a significant meaning on the characteristics of dynamic stability of the power system which contains wind farms, and the stable operation of the large area interconnected power grid. In this paper it realized the application of the double-fed wind turbine grid model by using power system analysis software PSD-BPA. The analysis of the generator power Angle curve which indicate the state after the failure of N-1 shows as follows: with the wind farms integration on the grid, the damping ratio is decreased slightly but little change after the system failure of N-1, which is still live up to the standard of grid stability.
